This is a high-quality replacement TCC solenoid and is made in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, we can no longer find the original AC Delco TCC solenoids. It was used in the factory 200-4R transmission found in the 1984-1987 Turbo Regals.
Due to lack of use, factory TCC solenoid failure can happen, even on low-mileage Turbo Regals. The TCC solenoid can stick when the transmission gets hot. When this solenoid is not working properly, it doesn't allow the transmission to downshift when you come to a stop. Your car may even stall on occasion. It gives the feeling of coming to a stop in a stick shift car and forgetting to push in the clutch.
It is fairly easy to replace. It only requires removing the transmission pan in order to replace this important TCC solenoid. You do have to cut the wires on the factory solenoid to retain the plug. Solenoid comes with hardware and directions.
There are several aftermarket versions available. We carry this one since it comes highly recommended from a long-time personal friend of mine who owns a transmission shop and has used it for many years with excellent results.
We recommend you have one as a spare.
