This complete black intercooler shroud and scoop is made in fiberglass using a mint, original for the mold. The piece does need to be prepped and fitted prior to installing. The quality is excellent. It's designed just like the factory one, meaning the scoop portion is riveted to the shroud and can be replaced if it becomes damaged.
Since it's made in hand-laid fiberglass, it holds its shape better than the original GM shroud. It's made using black gelcoat to match the color of the original piece. The texture on the outside is smooth, like the original shroud. The original intercooler scoop has been discontinued from GM and originals are difficult to find today.
Once installed in a 1986 or 1987 Turbo Regal, it will look like the original. Minor drilling to the intercooler scoop is required, so it can be attached lining it up to the factory holes on the intercooler. You may also choose to sand and paint the piece. You will need to re-use the original sheet metal screws.
