The general rule of thumb... Use the "stock" actuator when the desired boost is 14-20 psi. Use the "high pressure" actuator when the desired boost is about 21 psi. One thing to keep in mind when you use a stock actuator is that the shorter the rod (higher boost) the less the wastegate valve will open. If you make the rod too short, you may experience "boost creep" in high gears.
