This new deep sump oil pan has all the features of a stock oil pan plus several new features that make it a must have part. It has a 1 1/4" deeper oil sump. This increases the oil capacity approximately 50%. From the stock 5 quarts to approximately 7.5 quarts. The oil as you know is the life blood of your engine. Once you start modifying your car and making more horsepower the bearing loads and rpm increase. Until now there was no way to match the increase requirements on the oiling system with the increase in engine performance. Oil capacity and oil pressure are the two most important aspects in engine durability. This new deep sump oil pan fixes that problem. This new deep sump oil pan has the oil drain bung on the outside of the oil pan instead of the inside. This allows all the oil and contaminants to drain out when changing the engine oil. The oil pan has gold zinc plating which creates a long lasting rust resistant finish inside and out. Also makes a real nice appearance. This pan does not have the typical bosses or "bumps" which can lead to oil leaks. Because of the advancement in gasket materials that feature is no longer desirable.
