Greetings Turbo Regal Inner Circle Members 02-09-2022 - WE CAN SELL YOUR CAR - When the time comes you need to down size or you want to strike while the value is high we have a good success rate at finding buyers. We handle the advertising and answering the questions and weeding out the tire kickers. We never give out the exact location of your car. You decide on the price after any bargaining is done. The money goes directly from the buyer to your bank account. I have a flat commission based on the price span. This format has worked out very well for me for both the buyer and the seller. The buyer has more confidence about the car. The seller is not bothered with phone calls. Most potential buyers know who I am. So whenever the time comes you want to sell your car, email me the particulars. I can explain the process to you which also allows you to sell the car as well. My email is [email protected] I can also help you determine the price. I can also take in a trade and pay you the seller the difference. I have worked with JJ Best in the past which is quite generous in granting loans. So you have plenty of options. FOR SALE 22,000 MILES 1987 GRAND NATIONAL WITH T TOPS - This mostly stock example has been sold! Car is going from sunny warm Florida to Wisconsin not known for warm winters! We sold this car in basically 3 weeks. COINCIDENCES INVOLVING CARS - First, concerning the 22,500 mile Grand National I just sold. When the potential buyer looked over the carfax he discovered the date the seller bought it in 2007 was the exact month and date of his birthday!. I wrote about this on the facebook forums I am on and heard from several people that observed similar instances. One person bought a vehicle and the oil sticker was the month and date of his birthday so he left it on. Another customer who bought a GSX realized the date it was introduced was the same month and date of his birthday. Old timers may remember Trey Crease who had his own turbo regal parts business and at one time worked for me. His birthday was the same month and date as mine. Another instance was when the two guys that bought me over 50 cars were test driving a Grand National when they pulled into a gas station to get gas. Shortly after another Grand National pulled in for gas and it had a for sale sign in the car. They did not buy the one they were test driving as it did not measure up to the asking price. However, we did end up buying the one that by chance pulled in to get gas at the same time. Another case a good customer of ours who happens to own my second test car was following up a lead on a Typhoon to buy. He resides in the New England area. The seller was explaining where he lived. Turns out he lived within a ½ mile of our old house on Sugarbottom Road in Furlong, PA! Naturally my customer hired me to check the Typhoon out and handle the paperwork. Another customer Jason from Canada, a long time customer from Canada years ago, bought Reggie Jackson’s personal 1987 Turbo T Limited. Well optioned example. Jason takes detailing to an entire higher level. Every Fall he removes the wheels and cleans the backs of the T rims and removes any stones in the tread. The coincidence? Jason’s birthday is the same month and day as Reggie Jackson's! Growing up my Dad was quite poor and he and his brother were sent to Girard College in Philadelphia for schooling. Every Christmas his Mom would send him a dime. A dime back in the late 1930s, early 1940s would go pretty far. Us five kids heard that story almost every Christmas. In recent years I have made it a point to save dimes. I also have the uncanny luck of finding dimes in my travels. Several times I have pulled up to a parking spot and as I get out of my car there lies one thin dime at my feet. It's uncanny how frequently this has happened to me. Even when I have pulled up to a gas pump I have found a dime on occasion. I am sure many of you have stories of unusual coincidences you have witnessed first hand. TWO UNUSUAL CARS FOR SALE NEAR OUR LOCATION - If either car perks your interest email me [email protected] as I have more details and photos. Both are at the same place mabe 20 minutes from me. One car is a red Suzuki Vitara 2002 vintage nice shape red 169,000 miles very solid. Cute little car seldom seen anymore priced at $4,000. Runs and drives. The other car has great potential. It is a 1967 Cougar woman owned. Super straight body red exterior needs interior work. Car has been sitting for a number of years. It does need some floor pan work on one side. Car does run. What makes it rare is its a manual 3 speed car! Seller is seeking $3500. FOR SALE 300 MILE ORIGINAL 1987 GRAND NATIONAL HARDTOP - This example has been properly preserved all these years. Runs and drives. Been stored on a 4 post lift as part of a huge car collection in Illinois. This car shared space with Lamboghins and Ferraris so it was in good company! My seller will consider partial trades of one or more vehicles of interest towards the price tag. The window sticker has never been removed from the car. Originally sold in Texas. The price tag $199,900 takes it home. The tires have been upgraded to the correct new reproduction tires. The original tires have been replaced with the new reproductions. The car has been properly preserved and runs. The window sticker has never been removed. For more info and photos email me direct [email protected] SUPER BOWL BY THE NUMBERS - Ad space for the game total 7 million dollars. One company is charging $1500 to park in their lot that day. Like many of you I am not a fan of commercials however the ones that rely heavily on humor I like. GM has 2 that involve a cat that are quite funny. Mercedes Benz has one where the wife is driving and her clothes were ruined by a careless husband and he is forced to sit in the back seat. Hopefully humor is the popular setting for the commercial spots during the super bowl. The bottom right photo shows a factory mass air elbow and NOS GM spare tire washer. BARRETT JACKSON SCOTTSDALE AUCTION - I was told that a Turbo Trans Am with a mere 1,500 miles sold for $82,000. This is strong money for a Turbo Trans Am assuming it was a T-Top. The rarer model of course would be the hardtop. I am just not a fan of the ride the F body car has. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TURBO REGALS - In last week's issue we mentioned that Josh from Hemmings is looking for any information regarding Turbo Regals being purchased back when they were new by various government agencies, police departments, FBI and others. I heard from Gary out of Nashville who attended a Cars & Coffee event last May. At this event he met two gentlemen that initially worked at the Pontiac plant and then got transferred to Spring Hill Tennessee to build Saturns. One of these gentlemen mentioned that the FBI sent a car carrier to pick up a load of Turbo Regals. None of them had ECMs were not installed in any of them. I was told years ago that FBI cars or ones that the Federal Government bought were titled through Hertz or Avis rental places so they could not be traced back to the government. I regret I never pursued any of this information back when these cars were new to verify any of this information. I do recall a number of Grand Nationals were confiscated during drug busts. They also said at the plant they had a steel plate on the floor they would do burnouts on the steel plate. Sometimes when they took a break they would put the car on a lift and sleep in a Regal or a Cutlass as the seats were so comfortable. Each black hat is embroidered in red, gray and black. The embroidery work is some of the best I have ever seen. It almost looks like it was printed on the material. A prime example of poor embroidery work can be found on the Power Six logo on the Grand National bucket seat headrest. The embroidery on this hat is much sharper. An excellent winter hat. Also makes a great gift. 7967 - “BAD TO THE BONE” Embroidered Beanie Black Knit Hat - $21.95 CLICK HERE - For the link to this hat on our website. “BAD TO THE BONE” DECAL This “BAD TO THE BONE”decal is similar to the one we sold years ago. The script wording is red and black with a black shadow. The line between the words in the gray area is black. The design is die cut with a self-adhesive backing. Each decal measures about 5-1/2" x 1-3/4”. It is designed to fit in the area on the back window, just under the third brake light on the outside of the glass. It can also be used in other areas, on a tool box, or a car show display board. 7968 - “BAD TO THE BONE” Decal - $4 CLICK HERE - For the link to this decal on our website. NOTE - ABOUT LINKS IN THE INNER CIRCLE - We have heard from a couple people that have had problems with the links in our Inner Circle. When we check the links, they work fine. However, if you are not able to be directed to the exact website page or internet site, you can "copy" and "paste" the link into the URL in your browser (such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) If it doesn't link in one browser, it may work in another. Most people having problems are using Internet Explorer. If you are having issues with links, try another browser to see if it works. You may need to "UPDATE" your browser to be used if you are using the current version. NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE - We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo. If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected] ABOUT OUR EMAILS - Any inquiries concerning used parts, you must email me directly - [email protected] - and I will answer you. However, if I fail to answer you within 24 hours, please email us again. Since expanding into used parts, I get a lot of emails and sometimes I may forget your request or may not remember who requested the item. IN CLOSING - Remember, the weekly Inner Circle always goes out at 3 pm eastern time so subscribers all have the same equal chance on the Rare Parts. All our parts generally are priced to sell and priced below what others offer. Also our used items are exactly as described. Emails are acknowledged in the order we receive them regardless of when I respond as I am not always by a computer and I only use a flip phone. It's best to email as soon as possible with your request(s) as many of our items sell within the first hour! Do NOT call the office on the listed Rare Parts as you could lose out by someone beating you with an email. Remember if the total of what you purchase on the Rare Parts falls short of $75 we will charge $15 extra for shipping.
