GM CARLISLE IN PICTURES -
The weather was absolutely picture perfect at the GM Carlisle event. Good weather is perhaps the most important aspect for a successful outside Car Show.
Although several car shows were happening in my area this same weekend as the GM Carlisle event, Carlisle still had a huge array of GM cars and trucks.
I had probably 50 to 60 people total at the two seminars that I gave. My knowledge of Hurst is almost as good as my knowledge of Turbo Regals.
As far as GM vehicles, Camaro probably had the most representation with, I would guess, over 100 to 125 in attendance. The Fiero club probably had at least 35 to 50 or maybe more Fieros on the fair grounds. This is an impressive number since you seldom see any Fieros on the road in my area.
It’s a shame that car had a short life span, since the 1987 and 1988 GT models were pretty nice little cars. In all my years of buying and selling cars, I only can recall owning one 1987 tan-colored Fiero GT.
I saw maybe 10 to 15 Turbo Regals and about 25 Monte Carlo SS models at the event.
My granddaughter, Devyn was able to make it to the GM Carlisle event Saturday in time to hear my seminar and show her 2012 Camaro SS convertible on the show field. I was able to provide her with a VIP pass for the event, which included a VIP special luncheon at the event. She is a true Kirban and into cars, so she really had a great time. It was a special bonding time for us, since this is the first car show for just the two of us in the family to attend. Thanks for the memories, Devyn.
One of the special guests was David North, who was a GM designer, best known for his rendering that became the Oldsmobile Toronado.
Also present was Don Glover. He was one of the original Hurst Performance engineer team members who created the very first Hurst Oldsmobile in 1968. He actually worked at Hurst the same time as my wife.
There were at least two Turbo Regals on the grounds that had been autographed by Molly. One was a Grand National that I sold years ago that had I believe 11,000 miles on it. The other was a Grand National that was signed twice by Molly, since the car was at two of our events that Molly attended.
PHOTO 1 - The top left photo shows Devyn and I in front of her customized 2012 Camaro SS convertible. As you can see, she is almost as tall as I am! The lower left photo shows Devyn getting David North’s autograph. David Snyder, whose artwork is always on display at Carlisle, did a special painting of the Oldsmobile Toronado as a gift for David North. He presented it to David North at the VIP luncheon we attended. They had available 100 copies of which only 20 would be numbered and personally autographed by David North and David Snyder. I was able to get #4 for Devyn. The top right photo shows the artist David Snyder signing and numbering his work for Devyn. The lower right photo shows Don Glover with Devyn by the special Hurst Oldsmobile display. This was in one of the main buildings.
As a VIP Special Guest, each guest was given a certificate and a sticker and asked to pick the one car that we personally liked. That car’s owner would receive a special plaque that was signed by the VIP that picked the car. These special awards carry a special meaning for any car or truck owner that attends the various Carlisle events. You are competing against several hundred cars and trucks.
There was one car that was worthy of my award, although it was not in mint condition. The car was a 1979 Regal, but not a turbo model.
As many of my readers know, I have always been attracted to the rare cars or rare parts. This car was one of just one ever produced. Since it was a “Concept” car, it is very remarkable that it escaped the crusher in the mid-1980s. It was originally donated to a non-profit educational organization. Dan Dutton, who now owns it, explained to me how he obtained it.
He worked at a Buick dealership and the car would often come in suffering from a dead battery. Because of all the prototype electronics in the car, the battery would drain in a matter of days unless, of course, you disconnected the battery.
He knew the rarity of the car. He also had a very high connection with GM. His father, Harrold Richard Dutton, was a GM engineer and he is credited with designing the self absorber shock for the bumpers. This is the shock absorber format that allows the bumpers to absorb a minor accident. GM began to use shock absorbers on the 1973 models and continued to use them even through the 1984-1987 cars that many of us own today.
PHOTO 2 - The top left photo shows the prototype 1979 Regal. Notice the turbo hood and lack of bumper guards. The painted bumper and blackened grille show hints of the Grand National. The top right photo shows the most unique aspect on the exterior, the quarter glass, which is extended lapping over the top of the roof. It also meets another plastic tinted panel that runs down the side of the roofline, kind of like a very mini T-Top. In the photo in the lower left we show another angle of the driver’s side. Notice the emblem on the rear pillar panel. You press on that and the doors would unlock. The lower right shows the method designed to open the trunk lid. Dan says this never worked because they had the angle wrong. Probably would have helped if they had used an aluminum trunk lid instead of a steel one.
PHOTO 3 - The top left photo shows the control switches for the six-way power seat, power windows, and power door locks. They used fiber optic cables for back lighting on these switches. More interesting is the overhead switch panel, which would reset your seat position if another driver had moved it. You simply had to hit a certain letter on the panel and the seat would return to that position. This memory system was also built into the electric motors in the exterior mirrors. The top right photo shows another modification they did. They made the armrests on the door panels adjustable. This is one idea that I don’t think GM ever followed up on! The lower left photo shows a portion of the flush mounted windshield. They also made the rear glass flush mounted. This was a very costly modification to make. The lower right photo shows the car and Dan’s sign about the modifications that Buick had done on this 1979 Regal. It is estimated that GM spent a million dollars on this concept car back in 1979.
The motor is virtually untouched and all stock, from what Dan can determine. It has about 12,000 miles on it. The wheels on the car are what would later be used on the 1983 T-Type. It would be 1983 when the T-Type option would first appear on five different Buick models.
Dan truly has a one-of-a kind prototype Buick Regal that is in private hands.
One of the Oldsmobile specialty cars on display was the only one ever made. It was a fully restored modified 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass. What makes this truly a one-of-just-one that is powered by a 455 engine and the frame has been modified for a front wheel drive. What may not be readily visible, is the fact that both front fenders have been extended to fit the front wheel cradle.
PHOTO 4 - The top left photo shows this custom built 1968 Oldsmobile 442 that was the personal car of George Hurst. Hurst used a 455 W-34 package engine that was originally used in a Toronado as the powerplant. They even flattened the floor since no driveshaft was needed. The car was hand built. Oldsmobile was George Hurst’s favorite GM car. Among the row of Monte Carlo SS models, there was one that had a late model Corvette motor under the hood, complete with the 6-speed manual setup. The top right photo shows the engine compartment. The lower left photo shows a close up where they mounted the clutch slave cylinder by the vacuum brake booster. The photo to the lower right shows the interior with the 6-speed shifter coming through what appears to be the stock Monte Carlo console.

FOLLOW-UP TO THE VIETNAM PHOTOGRAPHER STORY -
When I was at GM at Carlisle last weekend, I stopped at an antique store that was near the Carlisle fairgrounds. When I was browsing though the store I saw a Rolleiflex camera for sale.
It looked very much like the one I used in Vietnam in 1966-1967. It had a $150 price tag on it. When I told the store owner I was interested, she put a call in to the seller to see if I could get a better price on it. I was able to buy to for $100.
Although it is older than the one I used, it looks virtually the same. So, it now sits in my home office. I gave the owner of the store a copy of the story I had written about it so she could give it to the seller the next time he stops in.

A SOLUTION FOR THE BROKEN POWER ANTENNA - PART #7702
We have a solution for a broken power antenna for your Turbo Regal!
You can buy the new reproduction power antenna Part #7696 - Reproduction Power Antenna with custom-made Mounting Bracket that we offer and others companies sell as well. But, this solution is possibly better for several reasons. It is cheaper and stronger than the original antenna. The critical part on these power antennas is the plastic internal cable. It makes no sense to buy a new old stock power antenna because, even though it’s brand new, it still has 20 to 25 years of age against it. Translation: the plastic cable may break the second or third time you power up the antenna because the plastic cable can be brittle.
I found a guy who is a one-man operation and has a real passion for another GM car. He not only rebuilds them and freshens up the internals, but he replaces that plastic cable with a steel cable that has a plastic outer sleeve on it. It is the same diameter as the original cable is. This is far superior over the factory plastic cable. He then re-assembles it, tests it and sends it on its way all within 3 to 5 days time.
We can offer this service to our customers for the total price of $99.95. That includes him shipping it back to you.
Unit comes with a Manufacturer’s One-Year Warranty, however, you will have to pay the shipping costs.

He can also straight any mildly bent masts at no extra cost to my customers! Any masts that are broken or kinked would be an extra charge, since it would need to be replaced.
The key is that the internal plastic cable is replaced with a steel cable. He has been doing this for over ten years for other car models. So, before you consider a new power antenna from us or another source, this may be a better solution.
Eventually we hope to have cores and offer them on an exchange basis once I get the word out to various people I know.

CAR FOR SALE - 1987 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL -
This is one with the optional factory astro-roof (CF5). It has undergone a complete frame off restoration. The seller has fully documented with photos in a binder. No expense has been spared. The owner even was able to use brand new original Pallex material. This is a top-notch example where no expense has been spared. Hundreds of hours went into the bodywork alone. All the glass and interior was totally removed. NOS GM parts were used when possible to make this car like new again. The motor was completely rebuilt and balanced. A new Limit Engineering TA 49 turbo was installed.
All new body mounts. NOS GM taillights and bezels were used along with a NOS GM grille. The bumpers were totally stripped with NOS front and rear bumper strips installed.

I spotted this car on the way to work this past Monday. It’s an all-original 1982 Camaro Berlinetta coupe. It's one-owner, original paint, garage kept example with a mere 55,000 miles on it. Car is super straight and clean, grey in color with grey cloth interior V8 powered with bucket seats and a console. Even the fancy optional wheels are like mint.
This is the first year for this model. I have known the seller for many years. He originally bought it for his son but changed his mind.
It is priced very reasonable at just $4,495. This car is over 30 years old and only has 55,000 miles on it. No dents, no rust. It would be a nice car to cruise in or detail for shows with maybe a young new driver in your family.

Replacement BLACK METAL STOCK BREATHERS (2)
This is one of the key engine parts to keeping your Turbo Regal engine original. This is the black metal breather that came on the front of the passenger’s valve cover. A tube went into the other end that went to the inlet bell on the turbo.
If this breather is neglected, it becomes saturated with oil. Once it is saturated, the oil travels through and down the connecting tube, through the turbo inlet bell, and into the intercooler. The oil can coat the intercooler and the connecting hoses, and eventually gum up the throttle body.
We offer them as a pair, so you will have an extra breather.
Supplies of these original-style black breathers may become limited. Other versions are not black, nor are they metal.
These are identical to what came on your car when it was new.

Reproduction STEERING COLUMN GASKET SEAL TO THE FIREWALL
If you are doing a restoration under the hood, here is an exact reproduction of the steering column gasket to the firewall.

CCCI (Computer Controlled Coil Ignition) SensorCheck MODULE
The Computer Controlled Coil Ignition (CCCI) is probably the least-understood system on your Turbo Buick powered vehicle. The most common problem is the “No-Start” condition, and there are very few tests that a car owner is capable of performing to determine a faulty component in this system.
This simple CCCI SensorCheck Module plug-and-play diagnostic tool is designed to troubleshoot your ignition system for the most common “No-Start” scenario. Specifically, it will display a simple LED to indicate the status of the CAM sensor, CRANK sensor, Coil Power and MODULE power. The CAM LED will visibly blink rapidly during idle. The CRANK LED will appear to be continuously on (due to the rapid Crank signal) when the vehicle is running normally. The POWER LED will be illuminated when the MODULE fuse is working. There are 3 LED’s assigned to each model: “HOT AIR” (1984-1985) and Intercooled (1986-1989.)
It can also be used to set the cam sensor!
No CAM signal = No Spark, No Injector pulse
No CRANK signal = No Spark, Only Inj pulse
CAM signal initiates sequential spark. Without it, No spark.
CRANK signal initiates fuel injector pulses.
No Lights, good fuses = Check ECM ground return wire.
This clever device eliminates any guesswork as to why your Turbo Regal won’t start, if it’s related to the cam sensor, crank sensor, coil pack, or coil module.
It comes with easy-to-follow directions. It is all plug-and-play to conduct the tests to determine where the problem is originating. By using LED lights, you can pinpoint where the problem originates.

2016 CALENDAR OF EVENTS -
HUGE LOCAL CAR SHOW TO US -
Moravian Tile Works, 313 and Cold Spring Creamy Road, Doylestown, PA - Sunday, July 10th, 2016
One of the largest car shows in our area is being held Sunday July 10th at the nearby Moravian Tile Works located at 313 and Cold Spring Creamy Road in nearby Doylestown, PA. Unfortunately no cars newer than 1986 can participate. This event weather permitting attracts 300 to 500 cars each year.
It is a beautiful setting for a car show. I go every year as a spectator and see some of my old time friends.
BCA NATIONALS - July 27th-30th, 2016
The BCA Nationals, which stands for Buick Club of America, is actually coming to Allentown, PA July 27th thru the 30th. Allentown is about 25 minutes from where we live.
The big car show day is Saturday, July 30th. They expect over 1,000 Buicks of all kinds. We plan to attend this event on Saturday as a spectator. If you live anywhere near Allentown this is a rare chance to attend a Buick National event. We will be meeting several of our customers at this event

It sure is shaping up to being a very hot summer for most of the country. At least it slows down the grass growing… that is one chore I don't enjoy.
GM CARLISLE IN PICTURES -
The weather was absolutely picture perfect at the GM Carlisle event. Good weather is perhaps the most important aspect for a successful outside Car Show.
Although several car shows were happening in my area this same weekend as the GM Carlisle event, Carlisle still had a huge array of GM cars and trucks.
I had probably 50 to 60 people total at the two seminars that I gave. My knowledge of Hurst is almost as good as my knowledge of Turbo Regals.
As far as GM vehicles, Camaro probably had the most representation with, I would guess, over 100 to 125 in attendance. The Fiero club probably had at least 35 to 50 or maybe more Fieros on the fair grounds. This is an impressive number since you seldom see any Fieros on the road in my area.
It’s a shame that car had a short life span, since the 1987 and 1988 GT models were pretty nice little cars. In all my years of buying and selling cars, I only can recall owning one 1987 tan-colored Fiero GT.
I saw maybe 10 to 15 Turbo Regals and about 25 Monte Carlo SS models at the event.
My granddaughter, Devyn was able to make it to the GM Carlisle event Saturday in time to hear my seminar and show her 2012 Camaro SS convertible on the show field. I was able to provide her with a VIP pass for the event, which included a VIP special luncheon at the event. She is a true Kirban and into cars, so she really had a great time. It was a special bonding time for us, since this is the first car show for just the two of us in the family to attend. Thanks for the memories, Devyn.
One of the special guests was David North, who was a GM designer, best known for his rendering that became the Oldsmobile Toronado.
Also present was Don Glover. He was one of the original Hurst Performance engineer team members who created the very first Hurst Oldsmobile in 1968. He actually worked at Hurst the same time as my wife.
There were at least two Turbo Regals on the grounds that had been autographed by Molly. One was a Grand National that I sold years ago that had I believe 11,000 miles on it. The other was a Grand National that was signed twice by Molly, since the car was at two of our events that Molly attended.
PHOTO 1 - The top left photo shows Devyn and I in front of her customized 2012 Camaro SS convertible. As you can see, she is almost as tall as I am! The lower left photo shows Devyn getting David North’s autograph. David Snyder, whose artwork is always on display at Carlisle, did a special painting of the Oldsmobile Toronado as a gift for David North. He presented it to David North at the VIP luncheon we attended. They had available 100 copies of which only 20 would be numbered and personally autographed by David North and David Snyder. I was able to get #4 for Devyn. The top right photo shows the artist David Snyder signing and numbering his work for Devyn. The lower right photo shows Don Glover with Devyn by the special Hurst Oldsmobile display. This was in one of the main buildings.
As a VIP Special Guest, each guest was given a certificate and a sticker and asked to pick the one car that we personally liked. That car’s owner would receive a special plaque that was signed by the VIP that picked the car. These special awards carry a special meaning for any car or truck owner that attends the various Carlisle events. You are competing against several hundred cars and trucks.
There was one car that was worthy of my award, although it was not in mint condition. The car was a 1979 Regal, but not a turbo model.
As many of my readers know, I have always been attracted to the rare cars or rare parts. This car was one of just one ever produced. Since it was a “Concept” car, it is very remarkable that it escaped the crusher in the mid-1980s. It was originally donated to a non-profit educational organization. Dan Dutton, who now owns it, explained to me how he obtained it.
He worked at a Buick dealership and the car would often come in suffering from a dead battery. Because of all the prototype electronics in the car, the battery would drain in a matter of days unless, of course, you disconnected the battery.
He knew the rarity of the car. He also had a very high connection with GM. His father, Harrold Richard Dutton, was a GM engineer and he is credited with designing the self absorber shock for the bumpers. This is the shock absorber format that allows the bumpers to absorb a minor accident. GM began to use shock absorbers on the 1973 models and continued to use them even through the 1984-1987 cars that many of us own today.
PHOTO 2 - The top left photo shows the prototype 1979 Regal. Notice the turbo hood and lack of bumper guards. The painted bumper and blackened grille show hints of the Grand National. The top right photo shows the most unique aspect on the exterior, the quarter glass, which is extended lapping over the top of the roof. It also meets another plastic tinted panel that runs down the side of the roofline, kind of like a very mini T-Top. In the photo in the lower left we show another angle of the driver’s side. Notice the emblem on the rear pillar panel. You press on that and the doors would unlock. The lower right shows the method designed to open the trunk lid. Dan says this never worked because they had the angle wrong. Probably would have helped if they had used an aluminum trunk lid instead of a steel one.
PHOTO 3 - The top left photo shows the control switches for the six-way power seat, power windows, and power door locks. They used fiber optic cables for back lighting on these switches. More interesting is the overhead switch panel, which would reset your seat position if another driver had moved it. You simply had to hit a certain letter on the panel and the seat would return to that position. This memory system was also built into the electric motors in the exterior mirrors. The top right photo shows another modification they did. They made the armrests on the door panels adjustable. This is one idea that I don’t think GM ever followed up on! The lower left photo shows a portion of the flush mounted windshield. They also made the rear glass flush mounted. This was a very costly modification to make. The lower right photo shows the car and Dan’s sign about the modifications that Buick had done on this 1979 Regal. It is estimated that GM spent a million dollars on this concept car back in 1979.
The motor is virtually untouched and all stock, from what Dan can determine. It has about 12,000 miles on it. The wheels on the car are what would later be used on the 1983 T-Type. It would be 1983 when the T-Type option would first appear on five different Buick models.
Dan truly has a one-of-a kind prototype Buick Regal that is in private hands.
One of the Oldsmobile specialty cars on display was the only one ever made. It was a fully restored modified 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass. What makes this truly a one-of-just-one that is powered by a 455 engine and the frame has been modified for a front wheel drive. What may not be readily visible, is the fact that both front fenders have been extended to fit the front wheel cradle.
PHOTO 4 - The top left photo shows this custom built 1968 Oldsmobile 442 that was the personal car of George Hurst. Hurst used a 455 W-34 package engine that was originally used in a Toronado as the powerplant. They even flattened the floor since no driveshaft was needed. The car was hand built. Oldsmobile was George Hurst’s favorite GM car. Among the row of Monte Carlo SS models, there was one that had a late model Corvette motor under the hood, complete with the 6-speed manual setup. The top right photo shows the engine compartment. The lower left photo shows a close up where they mounted the clutch slave cylinder by the vacuum brake booster. The photo to the lower right shows the interior with the 6-speed shifter coming through what appears to be the stock Monte Carlo console.
These are just some of the top-notch custom cars I saw at the GM Carlisle event. More to follow next week!
FOLLOW-UP TO THE VIETNAM PHOTOGRAPHER STORY -
When I was at GM at Carlisle last weekend, I stopped at an antique store that was near the Carlisle fairgrounds. When I was browsing though the store I saw a Rolleiflex camera for sale.
It looked very much like the one I used in Vietnam in 1966-1967. It had a $150 price tag on it. When I told the store owner I was interested, she put a call in to the seller to see if I could get a better price on it. I was able to buy to for $100.
Although it is older than the one I used, it looks virtually the same. So, it now sits in my home office. I gave the owner of the store a copy of the story I had written about it so she could give it to the seller the next time he stops in.

A SOLUTION FOR THE BROKEN POWER ANTENNA - PART #7702
We have a solution for a broken power antenna for your Turbo Regal!
You can buy the new reproduction power antenna Part #7696 - Reproduction Power Antenna with custom-made Mounting Bracket that we offer and others companies sell as well. But, this solution is possibly better for several reasons. It is cheaper and stronger than the original antenna. The critical part on these power antennas is the plastic internal cable. It makes no sense to buy a new old stock power antenna because, even though it’s brand new, it still has 20 to 25 years of age against it. Translation: the plastic cable may break the second or third time you power up the antenna because the plastic cable can be brittle.
I found a guy who is a one-man operation and has a real passion for another GM car. He not only rebuilds them and freshens up the internals, but he replaces that plastic cable with a steel cable that has a plastic outer sleeve on it. It is the same diameter as the original cable is. This is far superior over the factory plastic cable. He then re-assembles it, tests it and sends it on its way all within 3 to 5 days time.
We can offer this service to our customers for the total price of $99.95. That includes him shipping it back to you.
Unit comes with a Manufacturer’s One-Year Warranty, however, you will have to pay the shipping costs.

He can also straight any mildly bent masts at no extra cost to my customers! Any masts that are broken or kinked would be an extra charge, since it would need to be replaced.
The key is that the internal plastic cable is replaced with a steel cable. He has been doing this for over ten years for other car models. So, before you consider a new power antenna from us or another source, this may be a better solution.
Eventually we hope to have cores and offer them on an exchange basis once I get the word out to various people I know.

CAR FOR SALE - 1987 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL -
This is one with the optional factory astro-roof (CF5). It has undergone a complete frame off restoration. The seller has fully documented with photos in a binder. No expense has been spared. The owner even was able to use brand new original Pallex material. This is a top-notch example where no expense has been spared. Hundreds of hours went into the bodywork alone. All the glass and interior was totally removed. NOS GM parts were used when possible to make this car like new again. The motor was completely rebuilt and balanced. A new Limit Engineering TA 49 turbo was installed.
All new body mounts. NOS GM taillights and bezels were used along with a NOS GM grille. The bumpers were totally stripped with NOS front and rear bumper strips installed.
Here is a chance to own one completely redone and enjoy. The seller may take in partial trade another 1986-1987 Turbo Regal. The price is $39,500. This car is exactly as described, show quality from any angle, including underneath.

I spotted this car on the way to work this past Monday. It’s an all-original 1982 Camaro Berlinetta coupe. It's one-owner, original paint, garage kept example with a mere 55,000 miles on it. Car is super straight and clean, grey in color with grey cloth interior V8 powered with bucket seats and a console. Even the fancy optional wheels are like mint.
This is the first year for this model. I have known the seller for many years. He originally bought it for his son but changed his mind.
It is priced very reasonable at just $4,495. This car is over 30 years old and only has 55,000 miles on it. No dents, no rust. It would be a nice car to cruise in or detail for shows with maybe a young new driver in your family.

Replacement BLACK METAL STOCK BREATHERS (2)
This is one of the key engine parts to keeping your Turbo Regal engine original. This is the black metal breather that came on the front of the passenger’s valve cover. A tube went into the other end that went to the inlet bell on the turbo.
If this breather is neglected, it becomes saturated with oil. Once it is saturated, the oil travels through and down the connecting tube, through the turbo inlet bell, and into the intercooler. The oil can coat the intercooler and the connecting hoses, and eventually gum up the throttle body.
We offer them as a pair, so you will have an extra breather.
Supplies of these original-style black breathers may become limited. Other versions are not black, nor are they metal.
These are identical to what came on your car when it was new.

Reproduction STEERING COLUMN GASKET SEAL TO THE FIREWALL
If you are doing a restoration under the hood, here is an exact reproduction of the steering column gasket to the firewall.
If you have to replace the steering column, you will need this gasket, since the original gasket is probably no good anymore.

CCCI (Computer Controlled Coil Ignition) SensorCheck MODULE
The Computer Controlled Coil Ignition (CCCI) is probably the least-understood system on your Turbo Buick powered vehicle. The most common problem is the “No-Start” condition, and there are very few tests that a car owner is capable of performing to determine a faulty component in this system.
This simple CCCI SensorCheck Module plug-and-play diagnostic tool is designed to troubleshoot your ignition system for the most common “No-Start” scenario. Specifically, it will display a simple LED to indicate the status of the CAM sensor, CRANK sensor, Coil Power and MODULE power. The CAM LED will visibly blink rapidly during idle. The CRANK LED will appear to be continuously on (due to the rapid Crank signal) when the vehicle is running normally. The POWER LED will be illuminated when the MODULE fuse is working. There are 3 LED’s assigned to each model: “HOT AIR” (1984-1985) and Intercooled (1986-1989.)
It can also be used to set the cam sensor!
No CAM signal = No Spark, No Injector pulse
No CRANK signal = No Spark, Only Inj pulse
CAM signal initiates sequential spark. Without it, No spark.
CRANK signal initiates fuel injector pulses.
No Lights, good fuses = Check ECM ground return wire.
This clever device eliminates any guesswork as to why your Turbo Regal won’t start, if it’s related to the cam sensor, crank sensor, coil pack, or coil module.
It comes with easy-to-follow directions. It is all plug-and-play to conduct the tests to determine where the problem is originating. By using LED lights, you can pinpoint where the problem originates.
By a flip of a switch, it works on all 1984 to 1987 Turbo Regals including, the 1989 Turbo Trans Am.

One of the largest car shows in our area is being held Sunday July 10th at the nearby Moravian Tile Works located at 313 and Cold Spring Creamy Road in nearby Doylestown, PA. Unfortunately no cars newer than 1986 can participate. This event weather permitting attracts 300 to 500 cars each year.
It is a beautiful setting for a car show. I go every year as a spectator and see some of my old time friends.
BCA NATIONALS - July 27th-30th, 2016
The BCA Nationals, which stands for Buick Club of America, is actually coming to Allentown, PA July 27th thru the 30th. Allentown is about 25 minutes from where we live.
The big car show day is Saturday, July 30th. They expect over 1,000 Buicks of all kinds. We plan to attend this event on Saturday as a spectator. If you live anywhere near Allentown this is a rare chance to attend a Buick National event. We will be meeting several of our customers at this event

Event includes a judged car show on Saturday open to all Buick makes and anything Buick powered. Free Vending. Saturday race classes must be Buick powered.
