Greetings Turbo Regal Inner Circle Members 06-09-2021 -
OFF THE MARKET GNX 393 WITH 27,800 ACTUAL MILES -
My seller has changed his mind about selling his GNX 393. It is currently not for sale. The only Turbo Regal I am representing is the 8,700 Grand National 1987 listed below. Priced below its true value.
1987 GRAND NATIONAL WITH 8,700 ACTUAL MILES AND RARE ASTROROOF FOR SALE -
We just got in this extremely low mileage and well optioned 1987 Grand National. This car is at our location. Car is very well optioned. The rare factory astroroof, power driver's seat, twilight sentinel, tilt, cruise, delay wipers, concert sound, power antenna, aluminum rear drums, am/fm eq radio, digital dash, power windows, rear defogger, power door locks, limited slip rear, headlamps on indicator, lighted visor mirror, and rear defogger. Reproduction window sticker copies. The built sheet copy. Car was originally sold in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Spare and jack appear to have never been used. Because this is such a low mileage example car it was kept as original as possible. For example the only interior replacements needed was the headliner, new floor mats, redone steering wheel and horn ring. Also just the center grey portion of the driver seat and both front door cards using original pallex date coded material. All the rest of the interior is original. The exterior got a new high quality repaint. The body was stripped to bare metal. The wheels are still all original and absolutely perfect. If I had GM boxes they could be boxed and sold as brand new! The exhaust is the Pypes system we sell. Other improvements include upgraded TA 49 Turbo, upgraded injectors, fuel feeder kit, high volume fuel pump and the radiator was re-cored. NOS hood pad, new fluid bottles AC was upgraded with a new evaporator can. Vacuum lines were replaced. A brand new battery was installed as well.
The underside of the car was extremely nice. The car got all new front brakes, all new correct rubber body bushings including the GNX ones.
For more information and photos email me directly [email protected] Keep in mind partial trades are considered and JJ Best can finance this car up to 90% if you have the proper credit. The asking price is $47,900. Car was appraised for $56 grand. Keep in mind we just sold two other high dollar Grand Nationals with a few more miles on them than this one has. Ironically, I sold one with T-Tops, then one with a solid roof, and now one with the astroroof option, all 1987 examples and all with a price tag north of $35 grand!
Remember if you are thinking about selling your 1986-1987 Turbo Regal we can market the car for you and eliminate a lot of the stress related to selling these cars. I do not need the car to be in my possession, but it helps. The car would be kept in doors and secured on a lift.
A FULL SET OF REAL ORIGINAL GNX WHEELS LIKE NEW -
I am representing this set of real GNX wheels for one of my long-time customers who bought at least one car from me over the years. He resides in the New England area. The price includes all 4 center caps. No lug nuts. The price is $5895 and includes free shipping to the basic 48 states. The wheels have no scratches, and no road rash. Like new in every regard. They are the correct ones with different offset front and rears. For more info or pictures email me direct [email protected]
PHOTO 1 - We show six photos of this pristine set of original GNX wheels with the 4 original caps included. A $500 deposit is required to hold them.
MORE RARE NOS TURBO REGAL PARTS FOR SALE -
Those of you that subscribe can see a good selection of NOS GM items under the Rare Parts section. I spent months working on the deal for many of the NOS parts featured in this issue. Plus that is not all of them! I hope to share the interesting story of how it all came about and all the coincidences with the seller including sharing the same first name! It was his brother's collection who passed away and was a customer of ours. What makes this collection valuable is the fact it was all stored inside a bedroom in a house so the elements, mold, dampness, did not ruin its value over the 15 to 20 years they were sitting in the original GM boxes or GM bags. I had to step up to make the deal happen and trust the seller and he had to trust me as I paid by company check and I sent a truck and a person to haul everything who knows nothing about the parts. I told him just make sure the boxes you are bringing me are not empty!
PHOTO 2 - The top left photo shows a nice used original GM flip down stay down license plate bracket with a good used tested power trunk release. Both are easy to install on any G-Body car including of course the 1984-1987 Turbo Regals. The top right shows a NOS GM never used 1984-1987 Turbo Regal console 3 piece applique never taken apart with the flat box it came in. The bottom left photo shows a pair of good used 1984-1987 Grand National quarter windows. These have the all black trim. No studs are broken. The bottom right photo shows a very rare pair of complete 1984-1987 Grand National taillight assemblies with the black trim. These are excellent driver quality having been stored inside for probably 20 years.
PHOTO 3 - To the left we show two original Buick “Know How” booklets. Entitled Fluid Leaks a Wide Angle View and Radio Antennas. The photo to the right shows two Buick “Know How” booklets Body Sealing and Fuel Injection and Service.
PHOTO 4- To the left we show two Buick “Know How” booklets Testing and Charging Delco Freedom Batteries and Diagnosing the Fuel Delivery System. The photo to the right shows two Buick “Know How” booklets Starting Systems and Air Conditioning Update Including The V5 Compressor.
All these Buick “Know How” booklets appear under the Rare Parts for sale.
TWO WELL KNOWN LOCAL CRUISE EVENTS NEAR MY LOCATION IN JULY 2021 -
First up is the Doylestown At Dusk Car Show. The date is Saturday July 17th 5 pm until 10 pm. Rain date is Sunday July 18th 2021. This event draws some impressive variety of cars, even several Ferraris. They close down several main streets in Doylestown. I go as a spectator every year.
Next up on July Saturday July 31st 2021, is the annual Hatboro Moonlight Memories car show. This is the 28th year of this event. Hatboro is near where we used to live so I get to see a lot of old friends at this annual event. I was a judge for a few of these events. This show usually has several Turbo Regals and one or two GNXs in the mix. This event is huge. The event has no rain date. I guess they have a direct connection to God?
CLINT EASTWOOD TURNED 91 LAST WEEK -
One of my all time favorite movie actors and probably yours also is Clint Eastwood. He has had an amazing career starting in the TV series Rawhide. Not many film actors make the jump from actor to film maker successfully. Clint has filmed 39 movies to date and shows no signs of slowing down. He may not be a Turbo Regal owner, but I know he has had and perhaps still has a GMC Typhoon. If you have never seen the movie Gran Torino it's well worth seeing. Released in 2009 it has grossed almost 270 million dollars. They bought the restored Gran Torino off ebay and after the movie Clint kept the car.
NICK MICALE ARIZONA GN REQUEST -
I was recently contacted by Nikki Micale, Nick's daughter. Nick has had a tough time over the last year or so. Between cancer, and getting hit with Covid. He was hospitalized for 40 days. Nick is 84 years young. The state wants to take his drivers license away or perhaps already has. A day all of us dread to have to face. Nikki, his daughter, has purchased a used golf cart and wants to transform it as much as possible to resemble a Grand National. He will be able to use the golf cart as his son lives next door and the Church he attends is down the block. Nick with Mike of Spoolfool fame flew out to one of our Open Houses a few years back. I did the Cold Case radiator project by supplying the original radiator to the company and Nick did all the test fitting with the sample. I have known Nick for many many years.
Nikki would like any decals or gauges or emblems you can donate for the project. Also any words of encouragement or memories you have of Nick over the years. Email her directly at [email protected] To send anything that you think she can use, send it to Nikki Micale, 14817 S 46th Place, Phoenix, Arizona 85044. I sent her some decals and books for him to enjoy.
THE JOYS OF CAR BUYING -
In the last 10 days I have called on 4 different vehicles. Most priced at $15 grand or more. The first one I had a deal lined up and the seller had buyers remorse. Understandable it happens. Again I call on these cars for sale the very first day they are advertised. I hunt down various cars for a dealer in the midwest. The second car looked real promising in the ad. Garage kept never saw the snow under 20,000 actual miles. I went prepared with a check for a deposit as my buyer already agreed to the price as long as the car was as described. I got there. Car wasn't even washed. The convertible top did not work. The driver's leather seat was worn badly. On the passenger side was a 6 inch long scrap where he hit something metal in the garage. My SUV with 160,000 miles was in better shape inside and out. The seller says every car has a few scrapes. I said many do but you failed to mention it to me on the phone! A wasted trip.
Next up is a car with 66,000 miles. I call this owner on the phone, ask him a few questions and directions and then I say black is tough to keep clean. He then says that's enough questions and slams the phone down. This was a $22,000 car and the seller was that rude. At this point I was batting a 1,000, the last car cheapest of the bunch I called on this car.
The owner is really nice on the phone and says he is out of town for nex 3-4 days. Again it's his wife's car and she got a new car. They are the second owner; he has all the records, manuals, garage kept, and non smoke. All the right words I like to hear. Wheels have no curb rash drivers seat is nice he goes into great detail about the only blem on the body. At this point I am thinking this guy has a nice car and seems very detailed. At this point I said give me first crack at the car and if it's every bit of what you say I may be a buyer and will bring a check for a deposit and a nice gift. The other advantage I have over other potential buyers is I tell them to google my name or company. I am up front and tell him I am looking at it for a midwest buyer. So, the day comes to go look at this car and as I drive up his driveway I see a very well taken care of property heck not even a single dandelion growing. Without even getting out of my SUV I knew this car was gonna be exactly as described. Sure enough it was. He even had the build sheet showing the car listed for $46,500 back in 2008. Spare and jack never removed from the trunk. Car had virtually every option in 2008, even heated rear seats and steering wheel. More buttons than any vehicle I currently own. I did get him to wiggle a few hundred on the price. On viewing his repair records I realized I did all their towing years ago and the same shop worked on our BMWs. I used to also do their towing. I will get the car later today. Sometimes you got to weed through a bunch of disappointments to find that one that hits on all the right notes.

CAR SHOW DATES FOR 2021 SEASON -
EAST COAST BUICK REGIONALS
Saturday September 11th 2021
This annual event is held at Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland. There is no rain date. I have gone every year for the last 5 or 6 years. Always a good event. Plenty of room and plenty of cars. This event was not held in 2020 so a lot of pent up demand for the return. I will be donating items for this event and I will be there as a vendor. I don;t bring many items but I do a lot of buying. So if you plan to attend, see me if you bring items to sell.

IMPORTANT - INFORMATION ABOUT OUR SHIPPING ADDRESS –
If you are returning any cores or products, it is important that you send them to the correct address.
KIRBAN PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS
529 HAYCOCK RUN ROAD
KINTNERSVILLE, PA 18930
We discovered that FedEx will not forward any packages that are sent to the old PO Box or to our old address in Plumsteadville. Instead they deliver the packages to the old address and leave them outside or send them back to the shipper. They refuse to forward and say that we should notify the shipper. In most cases, we have no idea when we are getting packages shipped back to us.
If you have any cores that are being sent back to us, be sure to use the correct address, especially if you use FedEx. Otherwise, we may not receive your package or it may be sent back to you.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON RARE PARTS FOR SALE –

NOTE - ABOUT LINKS IN THE INNER CIRCLE -
We have heard from a couple people that have had problems with the links in our Inner Circle.
When we check the links, they work fine. However, if you are not able to be directed to the exact website page or internet site, you can "copy" and "paste" the link into the URL in your browser (such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) If it doesn't link in one browser, it may work in another.
Most people having problems are using Internet Explorer. If you are having issues with links, try another browser to see if it works.
You may need to "UPDATE" your browser to be used if you are using the current version.
NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE -
We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.
If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected]
ABOUT OUR EMAILS -
Any inquiries concerning used parts, you must email me directly - [email protected] - and I will answer you. However, if I fail to answer you within 24 hours, please email us again. Since expanding into used parts, I get a lot of emails and sometimes I may forget your request or may not remember who requested the item.
IN CLOSING -
Remember the weekly Inner Circle always goes out at 3 pm eastern time so subscribers all have the same equal chance on the Rare Parts. All our parts generally are priced to sell and below what others offer. Also our used items are exactly as described.

TIP FROM KIRBAN -.
Remember the Inner Circle goes out in a timely manner at 3 pm Eastern time every Wednesday. You have to be quick in order to score some of the parts. I am supposed to be getting a good size shipment of NOS parts shortly to watch for them under Rare Parts. We play no favorites.
