Greetings Turbo Regal Inner Circle Members 01-04-2023 - HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023 - Like most Americans I am glad they got a suspect before 2023 of those 4 college students in Idaho. The suspect actually attended a college that is located about 30 minutes from where we live! We have several new items in the works, one we hope to have available next week. LOCAL TO US 1986 GRAND NATIONAL HARDTOP FOR SALE - This car is located in NE Philadelphia. I happened to see it at a car show last summer. It is well optioned. Reportedly has original paint. It does have the new reproduction aluminum Grand National wheels on it. Digital dash. PA inspected. New seat covers. The owner has had it for 2 years. Asking price $31,900. Car is priced to sell. For more info and photos email me direct: [email protected] PHOTO 1 - We show 4 views of this 1986 Grand National hardtop. A nice car that needs a new home! TWO QUICK SHORT STORIES - Over the years my trademark has been my black Stetson hat and I have been asked when I started wearing it and what kind it is?. The hat is a Stetson called the Gun Club. I have always been a Clint Eastwood fan and probably seen every movie he has been in including his early TV days. It's funny Clint was originally told he was not handsome enough to make it in the movies. He has proven critics wrong working both sides of the camera for well over 50 years.! I have lost track over the years of how many Stetson hats I have gone through, but it is probably numbers 4 or 5. My Dad, one year as a Christmas gift, had my first Stetson hat bronzed which hangs in my pole building at home. This was a popular thing parents would do with baby shoes back in the 1950s would be to get them bronzed as a keepsake. I started to wear the Stetson Gun Club hat in the early 1970s when I would travel all over the country with my Dad. It became part of our trademark logo on our tow trucks. At one time we had 3 tow trucks on the road and the logo was painted on the doors. While looking for something the other day I found this photo probably from around 1973 where I am standing alongside my Ford pickup truck. This is the truck I bought out of Rapid City, South Dakota having flipped over my pick up truck which was a 1964 Studebaker truck. I still have that South Dakota License plate hanging in our basement. The other quick story happened last week. We got a quick blast of snow when my wife was out in her car. I wanted to get the salt off her car, but with cold temperatures I took it to one of these places that hand wash and dry the car. The owner knows me as sometimes we bring them cars from the car lot I do work with. So while I am waiting this young kid drives up with a 1970 vintage Pinto station wagon. You could put both fists through the one rear quarter panel and not hit metal! Original paint was really faded badly and in some places down to rusted metal. Originally I thought he was probably making a delivery to the place, but no he was there to get the Pinto wagon washed! I could not believe it so I started asking him about the Pinto. He says it has about 85 hp. He said he paid two grand for it. It still had the 1983 PA inspection sticker on it. He said 1983 was the last year it was on the road. In the back window was a new looking Jesus Saves decal and I remarked I assume Jesus saved this Pinto for you to restore? He laughed. As I was leaving I slipped my buddy an extra $20 and told him to tell the kid with Pinto wagon the car wash was a Christmas Gift from me. It's been many years since I saw a Ford Pinto station wagon on the road! PHOTO 2 - The top left photo shows my first Stetson hat bronzed plated and mounted on my wall in the pole building. The top right photo shows a very young me alongside my one truck wearing a Stetson and you can see my logo on the passenger door. The bottom left and bottom right photo shows the 1970s Pinto wagon. PARTS TO CONSIDER THAT NOT EVERY VENDOR HAS - Many of my readers all have one special vendor they go to for their parts. It is important to remember not every vendor has access to the same parts. A few items we have that are unique to Kirban Performance for example is the #1531 gray 1986-1987 Turbo Regal spark plug wires. It is critical you buy plug wires that have the proper length to avoid having them short out on the hit exhaust manifolds. A long time popular seller by us and 100% MADE IN THE USA. Another product we are extremely proud of is the 120 and 200 amp 1986-1987 Turbo Regal alternator that even includes the correct pulley. I know because we had to have the pulley made. Plus all the parts are in the correct color. Each unit is made by one individual and tested before I pick them up. They are made within 25 minutes of where I live so inventory is never an issue. My supplier has been making alternators for over 35 years. Part #7315 and #7316. We also have the unique 1984-1985 alternator and they all carry a one year warranty. The alternator due to its location under the hood is a very visible item! Pays to go with one that looks 100% correct. PARTS FOR SALE THIS WEEK - PHOTO 3 - The top left shows 3 mini phone chargers made by GM called the Denali. Also Bad to the Bone and We Brake for Mustangs black powder coated metal license frames. The top right photo shows a good used passenger black marker light, a slightly new blem reproduction gray horn ruing. Bad to the Bone metal license plate frame and a Diagnostic cap. The bottom left photo shows the last remaining booklet covering many of the GNX magazine articles from the late 1980s and early 1990s. The bottom right photo shows a NOS GM oil dipstick tube, a NOS GM LH exterior metal door handle, a use d'flip down stay down license plate frame, a NOS GM radiator overflow cap, and a used Made in England radiator cap. PHOTO 4 - The left photo shows a battery hold down used, a new power steering powder coated bracket, powder coated safety hood latch, and all the hardware ware to secure the jack and spare tire in the trunk. Especially now with Spring and Summer fast approaching. We handle the advertising and answering the questions and weeding out the tire kickers. We never give out the exact location of your car. You decide on the price after any bargaining is done. The money goes directly from the buyer to your bank account. I have a flat commission based on the price span. This format has worked out very well for me for both the buyer and the seller. The buyer has more confidence about the car especially if you are a long time owner and a customer of ours. . The seller is not bothered with phone calls or emails. Most potential buyers know who I am. So whenever the time comes you want to sell your car, email me the particulars. I can explain the process to you which also allows you to sell the car as well. My email is [email protected] I can also help you determine the price. I can also take in a trade and pay you the seller the difference. I have worked with JJ Best in the past which is quite generous in granting loans. So you have plenty of options. NOTE - ABOUT LINKS IN THE INNER CIRCLE - We have heard from a couple people that have had problems with the links in our Inner Circle. When we check the links, they work fine. However, if you are not able to be directed to the exact website page or internet site, you can "copy" and "paste" the link into the URL in your browser (such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) If it doesn't link in one browser, it may work in another. Most people having problems are using Internet Explorer. If you are having issues with links, try another browser to see if it works. You may need to "UPDATE" your browser to be used if you are using the current version. NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE - We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo. If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected]
