With the success of the various interior paints etc we carry we now offer these other 3 paints from our same supplier. Two versions of a cast iron spray paint both low heat and high heat. Also a spray paint that provides a stainless steel appearance. These new paints are available from us at just $17.95 per can.

T-TOP DUAL GAUGE HOLDER -
We now offer this cool looking dual gauge holder that replaces the factory T-Top center front trim panel on all 1984-1987 G Body T-Tops. It angles the gauges towards the driver. It uses the same mounting points that the factory center trim panel used. It accepts the same size 2 1/16” gauges as all the other gauge holders we sell. This comes pre painted grey to match the Grand National interiors. These are also currently in stock.
PHOTO 2 - The photo to the left shows our very popular 1984-987 Turbo Regal mini starter. This mini starter is a huge seller for us. Not only are you saving weight, but the gearing is superior to what the original starter is that is now over 30 years old. Each unit comes with new hardware. It is an easy upgrade to install. The top right photo shows the T-Top dual gauge holder.
POWERMASTER BRAKE SYSTEM -
I recently came across two Buick mini service manuals related to the powermaster brake units. Both are very similar in format. Both are dated 1985. In the one booklet you can clearly see that the brake switch is the original black brake switch. This black switch was recalled very early on and replaced with a grey brake switch. The one booklet runs 15 pages and the other one runs 17 pages. Both are very similar in format. The one in the foreword says this booklet is supplied to the GM dealer service personnel upon their completion of the subject course conducted at GM Training Center. Both are dated 1985 and cover the issues related to the powermaster brake unit which as you know came in all the 1986 and 1987 Turbo Regals. Until recently I never realized that GM printed two similar booklets back in 1985 on the Powermaster Brake issues. See the Rare Parts section as they are for sale. The one booklet that has the words know-how on the cover was part of a series of booklets Buick printed back in the day I assume for the technicians to use to fix various issues.

BUICK “KNOW HOW” SERIES OF BOOKLETS -
I have no idea how many Buick made in this Know How series of booklets during the mid 1980s. It is important to keep in mind each of these Know How Booklets covers all the various Buick models for a certain year or years. Not just the Turbo Regal models.
PHOTO 4 - We show two more Know-how Buick mini service manuals. Both of these have been punched for a 3-ring binder. One covers the camshaft and crankshaft. The other covers distributorless Ignition troubleshooting. These are both listed for sale under the Rare Parts section.
TURBO REGAL VALUES TODAY -
Turbo Regal values notably the Grand Nationals continue to escalate. The other day I pulled up my chart that I made years ago listing each Turbo Regal sale. I had forgotten between 1993 and 2009 I sold over 330 of these cars! The big years for sales we had were 1999 and 2000. In both those years we sold 44 Turbo Regals. That is almost one every 10 days or so. For example in 1999 we sold 8 with under 30,000 miles on them. Including one with 5,300 miles for $15,900. Today that same car would bring more than double that money. In the year 2000 I sold 11 with under 30,000 mile on them. One only had 2,900 miles on it and I sold it for $17,900.
So, based on my records the “soft spot” was 1999 and 2000 to buy one of these low mileage cars because it wasn’t soon afterwards that prices started to rise.
GNX values were still soft in 1999 and 2000. For example in 2003 I sold a 10,900 mile GNX for $34,900. In 2005 values started to climb. I sold 3 real GNXs. One for $67,500, another for $75,000 and a third one for $81,000. I started to deal with JJ Best which finances collector cars for potential buyers. They have both my books. They will finance up to 90% in some cases. I asked them what do they show as current values for the Grand National and GNX for a pristine #1 condition car. They said right now a 1987 Grand National is valued in the mid to high 50 grand range. A GNX would be in the 130 grand range. Both cases could be even higher depending on the mileage and condition. Financing up to 90% opens up a lot of possibilities to buy the best example you can afford.

Today nice original examples are few and far between. The one I sold last week basically sold in a few hours. In that same time period I had 3 other people that were interested. The nice original low mileage examples don’t usually last long. Today you have to be quick when an all original Grand National comes up for sale. Even the T-Types, and Turbo-Ts are climbing in value. Leading this group would be the Turbo Limited models and the WE4 Turbo-Ts due to its limited production. Unfortunately, if the car has not been garaged all these years the underside of the car can be badly rusted. Driveshafts start to rust from day one! Ill fitting T-Tops can lead to water leaks. Improper storage and time can play havoc on condition.
SOLD 1987 GRAND NATIONAL WITH T TOPS WITH 27,500 ACTUAL MILES -
The Grand National went to its new home this past Saturday. The new owner was quite pleased to find such a nice original Grand National close to his home.
BREAKING NEWS REPRODUCTION CARDONE ALUMINUM BRAKE DRUMS -

JUST ARRIVED IN STOCK -
We just got more rebuilt powermasters in stock. Also upper radiator hoses. New modified power antenna masts. Our supplier for the antenna masts is now having problems getting inventory. There is a good chance he won’t be able to get us more power antenna masts that we then get modified with a steel cable instead of the plastic cable. This supplier is the only one I am aware of that supplies masts for much of the industry. Our part number is #7433. If you have a power antenna you may want to pick up a spare modified mast while we still can get them. We got more cold case radiators in stock. Recently the price has been increased on them and the price on the Pypes exhaust systems will be going up later this summer. Almost every week we are getting notified about a price increase on something. The good thing is the cars are also going up in value to warrant the expense of parts and labor which continue to rise.

We discovered that FedEx will not forward any packages that are sent to the old PO Box or to our old address in Plumsteadville. Instead they deliver the packages to the old address and leave them outside or send them back to the shipper. They refuse to forward and say that we should notify the shipper. In most cases, we have no idea when we are getting packages shipped back to us.
If you have any cores that are being sent back to us, be sure to use the correct address, especially if you use FedEx. Otherwise, we may not receive your package or it may be sent back to you.

CORES NEEDED - URGENT REQUEST –
Here is the information on our credits for cores.
STEERING WHEEL CORES. Currently we need good 1986-1987 Turbo Regal steering cores. They must be straight and not have rusted spokes. We will issue a Letter of Credit of $100 for each acceptable core. You must email me [email protected] a photo first to make sure the steering wheel is acceptable.
POWERMASTER BRAKE UNITS. Currently, we are accepting powermaster brake units. We give a $150 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core. If you include the turbo pedal, add $10. You would receive a $160 Letter of Credit. To avoid having your core not accepted, you MUST first email me a photo of the core you plan to send in - [email protected] - We will NOT accept any cores that have severe rust issues or have been disassembled. Core must have the brake switch and brake bowl reservoir. Too many of the cores we have been getting are in such terrible shape they are worthless to us.
TURBO CORES must be the 1986-1987 Turbo Regal stock turbo. They must be complete. We will issue you a $175 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core. We need cores now.
If you ship to us, the post office is the cheapest method. Pack the item(s) with a note with your name, address and phone number.

Good news - We now accept Classified Ads in our weekly Inner Circle emails. Over the years several customers have asked about placing an ad in our weekly Inner Circle.
Here are the options and the costs.
Ads can be from any individual or company. It needs to be automotive related, meaning it does not need to be specifically Turbo Regal related. It can be for something for sale or something wanted.
Maximum number of words is 125 words, which is about 7 to 9 lines of copy. No photos. You can list a website. We recommend you state your name, phone number or email, a price, and your location in your ad.
The cost for 2 consecutive weeks is $25. The cost for 4 consecutive weeks is $40. You save $10 with the 4-week plan. No changes can be made to your existing running ad. You can only run one ad at any given time. We will have a code system at the end of your ad, so we will know what week number your ad is to run - 2 or 4 weeks.
It can be an ad for something for sale or an ad for something you are looking for.
We have never missed a single week since we started the Inner Circle email format in 2009. It’s something I enjoy doing and I just always seem to have enough material to write about.
Our weekly Inner Circle reaches over 3,500 members every Wednesday direct to their inbox. The Inner Circle also appears every Wednesday on our website with the related photos. Your ad would be visible to both groups of readers. So, the exposure to your ad is well over 3,400 potential buyers.

DUAL GAUGE HOLDER FOR T-TOPS MODELS
This dual gauge holder replaces the factory front center T-trim panel on the factory T-Tops.
The same 4 screws that hold the factory T-trim panel in place is used to secure this dual gauge holder. This plastic panel is already pre-painted grey to match the interiors of the Grand Nationals.
Holder fits all 1984 thru 1987 G-Body applications with the factory T-Tops option.
The gauge holder opening has a 2-1/16″ diameter opening for each gauge.

1986-1987 Buick Turbo Regal -
Reproduction PLASTIC POWER STEERING RESERVOIR WITH HAND-PAINTED CAP
This plastic power steering reservoir has been reproduced exactly like the original. It is unique for only the 1986 and 1987 Buick Turbo Regals. The lettering on the cap is hand-painted in white.
Originals are prone to cracking or the inlet and outlet orifice can easily get broken.
Very few sources sell it with the hand-painted lettering on the white cap, as shown in the photos.
A must-have part to have as a spare.

T-TOP DUAL GAUGE HOLDER -
We now offer this cool looking dual gauge holder that replaces the factory T-Top center front trim panel on all 1984-1987 G Body T-Tops. It angles the gauges towards the driver. It uses the same mounting points that the factory center trim panel used. It accepts the same size 2 1/16” gauges as all the other gauge holders we sell. This comes pre painted grey to match the Grand National interiors. These are also currently in stock.
PHOTO 2 - The photo to the left shows our very popular 1984-987 Turbo Regal mini starter. This mini starter is a huge seller for us. Not only are you saving weight, but the gearing is superior to what the original starter is that is now over 30 years old. Each unit comes with new hardware. It is an easy upgrade to install. The top right photo shows the T-Top dual gauge holder.
POWERMASTER BRAKE SYSTEM -
I recently came across two Buick mini service manuals related to the powermaster brake units. Both are very similar in format. Both are dated 1985. In the one booklet you can clearly see that the brake switch is the original black brake switch. This black switch was recalled very early on and replaced with a grey brake switch. The one booklet runs 15 pages and the other one runs 17 pages. Both are very similar in format. The one in the foreword says this booklet is supplied to the GM dealer service personnel upon their completion of the subject course conducted at GM Training Center. Both are dated 1985 and cover the issues related to the powermaster brake unit which as you know came in all the 1986 and 1987 Turbo Regals. Until recently I never realized that GM printed two similar booklets back in 1985 on the Powermaster Brake issues. See the Rare Parts section as they are for sale. The one booklet that has the words know-how on the cover was part of a series of booklets Buick printed back in the day I assume for the technicians to use to fix various issues.

BUICK “KNOW HOW” SERIES OF BOOKLETS -
I have no idea how many Buick made in this Know How series of booklets during the mid 1980s. It is important to keep in mind each of these Know How Booklets covers all the various Buick models for a certain year or years. Not just the Turbo Regal models.
PHOTO 4 - We show two more Know-how Buick mini service manuals. Both of these have been punched for a 3-ring binder. One covers the camshaft and crankshaft. The other covers distributorless Ignition troubleshooting. These are both listed for sale under the Rare Parts section.
TURBO REGAL VALUES TODAY -
Turbo Regal values notably the Grand Nationals continue to escalate. The other day I pulled up my chart that I made years ago listing each Turbo Regal sale. I had forgotten between 1993 and 2009 I sold over 330 of these cars! The big years for sales we had were 1999 and 2000. In both those years we sold 44 Turbo Regals. That is almost one every 10 days or so. For example in 1999 we sold 8 with under 30,000 miles on them. Including one with 5,300 miles for $15,900. Today that same car would bring more than double that money. In the year 2000 I sold 11 with under 30,000 mile on them. One only had 2,900 miles on it and I sold it for $17,900.
So, based on my records the “soft spot” was 1999 and 2000 to buy one of these low mileage cars because it wasn’t soon afterwards that prices started to rise.
GNX values were still soft in 1999 and 2000. For example in 2003 I sold a 10,900 mile GNX for $34,900. In 2005 values started to climb. I sold 3 real GNXs. One for $67,500, another for $75,000 and a third one for $81,000. I started to deal with JJ Best which finances collector cars for potential buyers. They have both my books. They will finance up to 90% in some cases. I asked them what do they show as current values for the Grand National and GNX for a pristine #1 condition car. They said right now a 1987 Grand National is valued in the mid to high 50 grand range. A GNX would be in the 130 grand range. Both cases could be even higher depending on the mileage and condition. Financing up to 90% opens up a lot of possibilities to buy the best example you can afford.
I have their application if anyone wants to apply in advance so they know how much they got to work with. Simply email me directly [email protected] with your request. Today nice original examples are few and far between. The one I sold last week basically sold in a few hours. In that same time period I had 3 other people that were interested. The nice original low mileage examples don’t usually last long. Today you have to be quick when an all original Grand National comes up for sale. Even the T-Types, and Turbo-Ts are climbing in value. Leading this group would be the Turbo Limited models and the WE4 Turbo-Ts due to its limited production. Unfortunately, if the car has not been garaged all these years the underside of the car can be badly rusted. Driveshafts start to rust from day one! Ill fitting T-Tops can lead to water leaks. Improper storage and time can play havoc on condition.

The Grand National went to its new home this past Saturday. The new owner was quite pleased to find such a nice original Grand National close to his home.

JUST ARRIVED IN STOCK -
We just got more rebuilt powermasters in stock. Also upper radiator hoses. New modified power antenna masts. Our supplier for the antenna masts is now having problems getting inventory. There is a good chance he won’t be able to get us more power antenna masts that we then get modified with a steel cable instead of the plastic cable. This supplier is the only one I am aware of that supplies masts for much of the industry. Our part number is #7433. If you have a power antenna you may want to pick up a spare modified mast while we still can get them. We got more cold case radiators in stock. Recently the price has been increased on them and the price on the Pypes exhaust systems will be going up later this summer. Almost every week we are getting notified about a price increase on something. The good thing is the cars are also going up in value to warrant the expense of parts and labor which continue to rise.

Here is the information on our credits for cores.
STEERING WHEEL CORES. Currently we need good 1986-1987 Turbo Regal steering cores. They must be straight and not have rusted spokes. We will issue a Letter of Credit of $100 for each acceptable core. You must email me [email protected] a photo first to make sure the steering wheel is acceptable.
POWERMASTER BRAKE UNITS. Currently, we are accepting powermaster brake units. We give a $150 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core. If you include the turbo pedal, add $10. You would receive a $160 Letter of Credit. To avoid having your core not accepted, you MUST first email me a photo of the core you plan to send in - [email protected] - We will NOT accept any cores that have severe rust issues or have been disassembled. Core must have the brake switch and brake bowl reservoir. Too many of the cores we have been getting are in such terrible shape they are worthless to us.
TURBO CORES must be the 1986-1987 Turbo Regal stock turbo. They must be complete. We will issue you a $175 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core. We need cores now.
If you ship to us, the post office is the cheapest method. Pack the item(s) with a note with your name, address and phone number.

You can only run one ad at any given time. We will have a code system at the end of your ad, so we will know what week number your ad is to run - 2 or 4 weeks.
It can be an ad for something for sale or an ad for something you are looking for.
We have never missed a single week since we started the Inner Circle email format in 2009. It’s something I enjoy doing and I just always seem to have enough material to write about.

Reproduction PLASTIC POWER STEERING RESERVOIR WITH HAND-PAINTED CAP
This plastic power steering reservoir has been reproduced exactly like the original. It is unique for only the 1986 and 1987 Buick Turbo Regals. The lettering on the cap is hand-painted in white.
Originals are prone to cracking or the inlet and outlet orifice can easily get broken.
Very few sources sell it with the hand-painted lettering on the white cap, as shown in the photos.
A must-have part to have as a spare.

We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.
