BREAKING NEWS - CARS STOLEN AT the 2011 GS NATIONALS -
It's sad to report, but from the emails we have received, there is news that several Turbo Regals on trailers were stolen from various motels in Bowling Green sometime over Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Thefts included not only the racecars, but the trailer and tow vehicles as well. At this time, we have had several reports ranging from 2 to as many as 5 turbo cars on trailers have been stolen.
We urge you to keep an eye out for any unusual activity, including parts or cars for sale on various websites.
Unfortunately it's a sad time for the Turbo Buick community, after a great event.

REPORT FROM THE 2011 GS NATIONALS -
I arrived in Bowling Green mid afternoon on Wednesday, which turned out to be a miserable weather day. Thursday also was quite cold and windy. However, Friday and Saturday turned out to be extremely nice cool autumn days.
Our new black carbon fiber wrapped hood shocks were quite popular, and we sold out of them before the end of the meet. Remember, you have to order this week to get these black carbon fiber hood shocks at the introductory price!
We did acquire quite a number of much needed turbo cores and mass air flow sensor cores at the show. We still badly need more of them.
PHOTO 1 - The top left photo show Richard Clark working on a car. The top right photo shows a crowd gathered around as he works on another powermaster brake unit.
The lower left photo shows some of the Buicks lined up. The lower right photo shows one of the vendors from sunny Florida. They went out and purchased this unique propane heater for Thursday cold front. Many people where wearing winter coats and gloves, a unique look for a GS Nationals.
I sold out of all the good used brake bowls we took as several owners had brake problems during the week.
PHOTO 2 - These two photos show one of the extremely nice Turbo Regals in the car show. It was a grey 1987 Turbo Regal Limited with matching gray leather interior. This car was extremely well optioned with the astro roof feature and it even had a power passenger seat. The black-out package and painted pinstripe really set this car off. I thought his display sign was quite impressive as well.
PHOTO 3 - The top photo shows the front fender of a Grand National and the unique decal that this owner used instead of the metal Grand National emblem. Probably a smart choice since now the original Grand National emblem lists for over $120 each from GM and the intercooled emblem has been discontinued.
The lower photo shows the Grand National and Intercooled emblems that have been gold anodized for a unique look.
PHOTO 4 - Old timers will remember these people from the early Turbo Regal days. Lloyd Tarter is on the far left. Lloyd is the original proprietor of Bowling Green Customs. On the right are Janace and Lawrence Conley, who raced his "Tweaked" at this very track for many years, usually against Kenny Duttweiler. It was good to see these old friends return once again.
Lawrence Conley had a huge impact in the Turbo Buick world with his many innovations and unique Turbo Regal out of "Humble" Texas.
It's hard to believe, but I personally have been to every GS Nationals since 1988 - a total of 24 years. This includes the single year the event was moved to Ohio.

We recently were granted a license by James Ibusuki for a unique product.
James did the famous gorgeous GNX art print used on the ASC poster around 1987-1988. It also appears on the cover of our "Kirban Guide to 1986 and 1987 Buick Turbo Regals" book.
We had a company that works with this material wrap it around a 5 inch tall metal can. The material is a high grade 3M™ Scotchprint® Wrap Film that is then laminated. The diameter of the can is 4 inches. It's the ideal size to use on your desk to hold pens. The wrap is laminated, so it can't be accidentally scratched and is chemical resistant. Makes for a unique gift for Christmas and is a must have item for any GNX owner.

We recently were granted a license by James Ibusuki for this unique product.
Automotive artist James Ibusuki created this dramatic painting in 1987 for ASC/McLaren to announce the debut of the Buick GNX. James did the famous gorgeous GNX artwork used on the ASC poster around 1987-1988. It also appears on the cover of our "Kirban Guide to 1986 and 1987 Buick Turbo Regals" book.
We first start with a new sturdy metal can, which helps to avoid dents.
The artwork is digitally printed on a high-quality vinyl wrap, which is laminated and then heat sealed on the can. The lamination enhances the colors, helps to protect the vinyl from sun fade, and makes it more durable.
The can measures about 5" tall x 4" diameter, and has a pop-on black plastic cap. The art print appears twice on the can.

We are in dire need of stock 1986-1987 Turbo Regal turbo cores! We will allow $100 Letter of Credit for any complete 1986-1987 Turbo Regal turbo core. It does not need to have the inlet bell nor the wastegate actuator.
We also need powermaster cores that are complete. We allow a $100 Letter of Credit for each core.
We also need badly 1986-1987 Turbo Regal original AC Delco factory mass air flow sensors. We allow a $25 Letter of Credit for each one. They can be missing the screens. Unit cannot be cracked or busted.
We really need both of these cores so we can continue to offer the services of having rebuilt ones for other 1986-1987 Turbo Regal owners.
If you are attending the GS Nationals in Bowling Green, Kentucky, be sure to bring them with you as we will accept them there as well.

STOCK STEEL HOOD "BLACK CARBON FIBER" GAS SHOCKS (2)
We now carry unique black carbon fiber vinyl wrapped STOCK gas hood shocks to replace the weakened shocks, which may not hold the steel hood properly. These are a direct replacement at a very reasonable price, sold as pair.
Using a unique process, the outer shell of each new shock is vinyl wrapped using 3M™ Scotchprint® Wrap Film Series 1080 Black Carbon Fiber. It covers the unsightly wording that is printed on each shock. The material is durable and not affected by heat.
The final result is a gorgeous carbon fiber look to enhance the engine compartment.
On our website, the first photo shows a pair of these shocks with a piece of the black carbon fiber wrap. The second photo shows the stock shocks at the top (notice the wording) and the black carbon fiber wrapped shocks at the bottom. Unfortunately, shocks are hard to photograph, but these really look great, especially in the sunlight.
NOTE - These are for the STOCK steel hood. They CANNOT be used for a fiberglass hood!

Triple A Enterprises has the ability to match the font style GM used, so quality of the reproduction window stickers is very good.
GRAY PALLEX SEAT MATERIAL UPDATE -
Currently we have less than half of our roll left, as several customers have bought 2 and 3 sections of it to do several cars. So, if you have a 1985-1987 Grand National, you may want to get a sample of this material to see if it's something you want to have tucked away. Most of the pallex material you find today from companies sells for over $75 to $95 a yard.
We do NOT have the black pallex material. In many cases, the original black material should be good enough to simply re-use and install the new gray pallex material. The black is a lot easier to match whereas the gray is something that can vary. Keep in mind, before we sell you any material, please email me your name and address so I can send you a sample. That way, you know the exact shade of gray material you would receive - [email protected]

Because these have to be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.
