Greetings Turbo Regal Inner Circle Members 03-16-2022 -

BREAKING NEWS IN STOCK #7572 FIVE PIECE STEERING COLUMN BEARING KIT -

We have not had these in stock for over 4 months. We just got our shipment of them last week. This kit has the metal bearing instead of the rubber seal that Buick used in the steering columns. A 35 year old rubber seal becomes spongy and this is the upgrade fix. Part #7572 the price is $39.95.

NEW GM LICENSED GRAND NATIONAL EMBLEM SIGN UPDATE -

They are now in stock at our Illinois location. Orders are currently being filled this week. Announced last week we are getting a very good response on this dealer quality 3-dimensional stainless sign. Part #8020. It weighs 9 lbs and measures 12 inches high by 34 inches wide. Special price $179.95 and $30 shipping to the basic 48 states. This new GM licensed Grand National emblem sign is now on our website. Our website may be slow at times due to the fact we are upgrading our website. The company that makes them is licensed by all the major US car companies and just made this sign a few months ago. We hope to get them to make others for us as they have the inside track with GM and getting them properly licensed. We have a bunch of great ideas for future GM licensed signs. Currently we are in the midst of working a deal with them. They have all the equipment to make these signs in house.

1987 TURBO-T HARDTOP BLACK EXTERIOR WITH BLACK OUT PACKAGE UPDATE -

New information: What makes this car extremely rare besides having the burgundy interior instead of gray is the split bench seat with the shifter on the column. You could attend every Buick car show for the next 2 years and probably never see another one! Also the seller has sent me over 60 more photos which show details on all the work that Steve's Automotive did including removing the body from the frame! Total costs between Steves bills for the work and parts total over $35,000. Keep in mind the car has only gone about 1,000 miles since all this work was done! The paint is original and respectable however it does not show quality due to its age. This car is a great investment when you weigh all the effort, expense, that went into this one family owned example. There is some wiggle room in the price. Contact me [email protected] for more details and I can provide this detailed file of photos showing the work that was done.

The owner's father purchased this rare 1987 Turbo-T brand new in August of 1986. The car has been mechanically restored at great expense in 2018 and only driven about 1,000 miles since then. Steve's Automotive in Virginia did the work on this car. To verify this you can call Steve directly at 570-560-2782. The father since then has passed away and that is the reason the car is now for sale. Fortunately the father did get to drive it a bit before his passing. Car is a hardtop black and blackout package. They only offered the black exterior combo with the blackout package for a few months due to the introduction of the WE4 model.

All this can easily be verified in my one book. Reportedly only a few hundred at most were made in that short 3 month period before production ceased due to the introduction of the popular WE4 model. This is quite unusual as it has a 60/40 split bench seat and the interior is burgundy. Most black models would have come with a gray interior. All new body bushings, our front frame braces and rear seat braces are installed. Most of the paint is still original. The paint is not 100% perfect due to age. The car originally was bought in Illinois but has been in Virginia since 1994. All the documents, order sheet and SPID label are intact. Currently I have photos and a copy of the order invoice. Car is located in Roanoke, Virginia. Email me [email protected] if this car interests you. The entire drivetrain and frame etc has been restored. The asking price is $34,900. Receipts from Steve's Automotive total over $26,000. This amount does not include the many parts he purchased from various vendors myself included for this project. Remember the car has only been driven about 1,000 miles since all this work was done in 2017-2018. The car is priced to sell.

I have a link available that shows over 200 photos detailing the work that Steve did on this car back in 2017-2018 for the owner. Simply email me [email protected] and I can forward you the link to these photos that show great detail in the work that Steve did.

WORD ON TWO MORE UNIQUE VEHICLES FOR SALE LOCAL TO ME -

A long time friend of mine needs to have a serious operation on his spine. It is because of this he will no longer be able to drive for a long period of time. He is a Studebaker guy. He has one 1963 Champ pick up that he used for business that is powered by a 1969 Chevy 350 and 350 trans. Has a Camaro front end under it with disc brakes. The dash is all 1963 Studebaker Hawk which is cool as they used Stewart Warner gauges. Has an aftermarket steering tilt column. Truck is originally from California, virtually rust free solid floor pan. The bed has been replaced with a Ford Ranger flare side bed that looks factory. Truck is red and has a patina look. Runs 100% and is extremely quick. New tires with Chevy rally wheels. Original factory bench seat which needs to be redone. As the saying goes, basically a 20 footer.

Point is need starting truck for a resto mod. Where can you find a good running 1963 solid pick up today? The price tag is $17,900. He has more money in this Studebaker truck as he had plans to keep it as a work truck until this health issue came up. Small amount of wiggle room in the price. Runs and drives great. Has a Camaro rear end gear ratio unknown. Engine is quiet new rear main seal tuned up.

The other vehicle is an original 1962 Studebaker 289 V8 Hawk. Has factory working AC. This car came from Texas zero rust. Appears have been repainted. Interior is original and in fairly good condition. Body is straight. Over 3 grand recently spent new heater core, free out plugs, rear main seal, master cylinder etc. Again turn key. Both are in winter storage at his house. Asking price is $21,900. Again a bit of wiggle room. He has had both these vehicles for 2 or 3 years.

PHOTO 1 - We only have one photo currently of both Studebakers. I can get more info and photos hopefully in about a week depending on mother nature. Email me [email protected] with any specific questions. Neither vehicle has been advertised anywhere as of yet. We show both the 1962 Studebaker Hawk and the 1963 Studebaker Champ pickup truck. Last two photos we show this new arrival, a 16,200 mile original WE4 hardtop Turbo Regal.

BREAKING NEWS WE4 HARDTOP WITH JUST 16,200 ACTUAL MILES FOR SALE -

Car is located in the midwest. Basically a two owner car in a heated garage since new. Still retains the new car smell. Never undercoated, no rust. Original paint. Clean carfax. Has crank windows! Posi, am/fm cassette with eq and concert sound. Non working power antenna. No dents. Tires have been replaced. The seller looked for almost a year before buying this example. Even the filler panels are original but get that haze look to them. Interior is pristine from any angle. No sun fade even the original plastic horn ring is not cracked. He did replace the plug wires with our gray wires. Original wires were not on the car. Owner is a professional mechanic. Car even has a working powermaster unit and working AC. Reason he is selling is the car is too nice to drive! See Photo 1 the 3rd and 4th photo. For more details and photos email me [email protected] Original owner kept a record of every oil change etc. Fanatic making sure the car has been properly maintained.

The asking price is $41,900. Priced fairly to sell to someone to enjoy it. Remember I consider partial trades and I would pay the difference on the car. You would have to get the trade to me to consider it. Trade need not be a Turbo Regal. THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD! I sold it in 3 days!

DREAM GIVE AWAY -

I am sure many of you have heard of this giveaway program. They definitely live up to their name! Currently about 10 different vehicles up for grabs. At $3 per ticket it's a bargain. Their website is dreamgiveaway.com In some cases they even contribute towards your tax bill on your winning vehicle! They give away some very impressive high dollar cars. They get over ½ million hits every month on their website as the chances to win are very reasonable. They approached me last week as they want to give away a Grand National. This would be the first G body car they have offered. Their budget is 60 to 70 grand to buy a nice original example 1986 or 1987 T-Top or hardtop. Their website is dreamgiveaway.com I may have already located one that meets their requirements. They are located in Florida so they like to find one on the east coast to keep transport costs down. They also have to send someone to inspect the car prior to purchase to make sure it meets their requirements. Their giveaways run I think 11 months.

I will keep my readers posted when they locate one and what model Grand National it is. If you have one you want to sell, I have buyers. Simply email me [email protected] the details. My fee is scaled to the price we put on your car. We also can arrange transport, financing to the byer thru JJ Best and consider possible trades as I would purchase the trade and pay the difference for the car. It can be very time consuming selling a car plus the worry of someone stealing it if you advertise in any of the various local websites such as Craigs list etc.

TWO MORE LOCAL CARS NEAR ME THAT CAUGHT MY EYE -

Both are fairly close to my house. I have photos of both these cars. One is a red convertible Alfa Romeo manual shift. Runs and drivers fairly new top repaint is ok. Interior needs attention. It is a 1991 model. Solid little car. The asking price is $7500. I have pictures of this car. Email me [email protected] to see the photos. Seems to be complete and fairly original. You don’t see many of these cars around.

The other car is “Kirban Quality” inside and out. It is a real beauty. A 2015 Buick Encore, well optioned all wheel drive. Frost white against a stitched black cloth and leather interior. Still smells new inside! No one single dent or scratch anywhere wheels are very very nice you can tell it has been extremely well maintained. Interior is flawless, the back seat doesn't look like it was ever used. Small curb rash on one wheel otherwise wheels are pristine, no brake dust, nothing. Here is the kicker only has 45,000 miles on this 2015 model. The bad news? Has a reconstructed title. Here is the background on that. About 4 years ago it was totaled. The body shop replaced the following parts: new bumper, front core support fenders, hood and air bag all replaced with factory GM parts. The reason he used GM parts? Read on.

However the body shop that bought it wanted it for his father in law. Because of this they did a top notch repair using only GM parts. Like the kind of quality my son does. The father in law is 92 and suffered a stroke recently and had to surrender the car keys. The price is just $13 grand!!!! It has the latest PA inspection. You could drive it for many years and enjoy it. I looked at this Buick carefully. The fact this was done 4 years ago makes everything match perfectly. Interior is mint, even the driver's seat. The frost white paint just stands out on this Buick Encore. If you did not see the title you would not know it was hit in the front. I have a lot of photos of this Buick Encore. Email me [email protected] for more info and pictures.

1965 MUSTANG V8 COUPE FOR SALE STILL AVAILABLE -

This car is owned by a long time customer who had the 3 Turbo Regals and Syclone I recently sold. This Mustang coupe has had a frame off restoration. Garage kept. In the last two years it has gotten a new brake system, Gas tank, brake lines, 3-row radiator, rebuilt carb, and new battery. Car has only 72,000 actual miles. The price tag is $25,000. Contact me [email protected] for info. Car is located near Nashville, Tennessee. This car seems like a bargain to me being a frame off restoration and being a V8 model with low miles.

WE CAN SELL YOUR CAR -

When the time comes you need to down size or you want to strike while the value is high we have a good success rate at finding buyers. We handle the advertising and answering the questions and weeding out the tire kickers. We never give out the exact location of your car. You decide on the price after any bargaining is done. The money goes directly from the buyer to your bank account. I have a flat commission based on the price span. This format has worked out very well for me for both the buyer and the seller. The buyer has more confidence about the car. The seller is not bothered with phone calls. Most potential buyers know who I am. So whenever the time comes you want to sell your car, email me the particulars. I can explain the process to you which also allows you to sell the car as well. My email is [email protected] I can also help you determine the price. I can also take in a trade and pay you the seller the difference. I have worked with JJ Best in the past which is quite generous in granting loans. So you have plenty of options. We have sold 3 of the Grand Nationals in the last 6 weeks! For a total of over $135,000. All 3 sellers will gladly give me a good review. We also work with a broker that can handle transport both open and enclosed. This broker is a customer of ours and owns personally a 9,000 mile Grand National! He just had the last 2 cars I sold transported to their new homes!

ONE UNUSUAL CAR FOR SALE NEAR OUR LOCATION -

If this car perks your interest email me [email protected] as I have more details and photos.

The car has great potential. It is a 1967 Cougar woman owned. Super straight body red exterior needs interior work. Car has been sitting for a number of years abandoned at a body shop. It does need some floor pan work on one side. Car does run. What makes it rare is its a manual 3 speed car! Seller is seeking $3500. Note the Cougar has no title as the woman owner abandoned it years ago at a body shop. So you need to check with the laws in your state on what would be required to obtain a new title. In some states you can get a title issued so you can register it in your state.

FOR SALE 300 MILE ORIGINAL 1987 GRAND NATIONAL HARDTOP -

This example has been properly preserved all these years. Runs and drives. Been stored on a 4 post lift as part of a huge car collection in Illinois. My seller will consider partial trades of one or more vehicles of interest towards the price tag. The window sticker has never been removed from the car. Originally sold in Texas. The price tag $199,900 takes it home. The tires have been upgraded to the correct new reproduction tires. The original tires have been replaced with the new reproductions. The car has been properly preserved and runs. The window sticker has never been removed. For more info and photos email me direct [email protected]

NEED A CAR TRANSPORTED? -

Whether you want an open transport or enclosed transport we highly recommend Sal Hamed he is a broker with a number of transporters and can get you the best price. He knows what you expect as he personally owns a 9,000 mile original Grand National and is a customer of ours. You must use my name when contacting him to get a special price. His email is [email protected]

THE FORGOTTEN REGAL MODEL -

I am referring to the 1987 Regal with the “T” package option minus the turbo powerplant under the hood. In my factory Buick price directory this option only appears under the code Y56. It does not appear in the earlier 1984 thru 1986 Regal options only the 1987. This was the “T” package that included the FE2 suspension, aluminum wheels black wall tires, sport steering wheel, and fast ratio power steering. The engine would be the carbureted V8 Olds 307. In other words the Turbo Regal looks minus the turbo engine, 3.42 gear set, and the turbo hood. Also these cars would also lack the boost and tach gauges as well. The idea was to offer a model that had eye appeal and a lower insurance rate for customers. Again I see no reference to the Y56 codes in the earlier years nor have I ever seen any cars to verify. I have seen at least 1 of the 1987 versions actually Pete Serio the window rattle guy had one years ago. No idea as to the production figures but it probably was not many. As for exterior colors and interior combinations I would assume you could pick any you wanted split bench seat or bucket seats with console. Very little is known about this model. It would have gotten I think the T emblem on the fenders but of course not the 3.8 sfi emblems! If you have such a car, email me photos.

“BAD TO THE BONE” EMBROIDERED BEANIE BLACK KNIT HAT -

This black Beanie knit hat has the quote "Bad To The Bone" embroidered on it in the same design as our decal, part #7968.

Each black hat is embroidered in red, gray and black. The embroidery work is some of the best I have ever seen. It almost looks like it was printed on the material.

A prime example of poor embroidery work can be found on the Power Six logo on the Grand National bucket seat headrest. The embroidery on this hat is much sharper.

An excellent winter hat. Also makes a great gift.

NOTE - ABOUT LINKS IN THE INNER CIRCLE -

We have heard from a couple people that have had problems with the links in our Inner Circle.

When we check the links, they work fine. However, if you are not able to be directed to the exact website page or internet site, you can "copy" and "paste" the link into the URL in your browser (such as Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) If it doesn't link in one browser, it may work in another.

Most people having problems are using Internet Explorer. If you are having issues with links, try another browser to see if it works.

You may need to "UPDATE" your browser to be used if you are using the current version.

NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE -

We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.

If you would like to have us email you any photo at the higher resolution for viewing, just email us and we will email them to you. Be sure to be specific on which pictures you want to see - Reference Inner Circle date and photo number 1, 2, 3 or 4 - [email protected]

ABOUT OUR EMAILS -

Any inquiries concerning used parts, you must email me directly - [email protected] - and I will answer you. However, if I fail to answer you within 24 hours, please email us again.
Since expanding into used parts, I get a lot of emails and sometimes I may forget your request or may not remember who requested the item.

IN CLOSING -

Remember, the weekly Inner Circle always goes out at 3 pm eastern time so subscribers all have the same equal chance on the Rare Parts. All our parts generally are priced to sell and priced below what others offer. Also our used items are exactly as described. Emails are acknowledged in the order we receive them regardless of when I respond as I am not always by a computer and I only use a flip phone. It's best to email as soon as possible with your request(s) as many of our items sell within the first hour! Do NOT call the office on the listed Rare Parts as you could lose out by someone beating you with an email. Remember if the total of what you purchase on the Rare Parts falls short of $75 we will charge $15 extra for shipping.
