UPDATE ON THE NEW LED INTERIOR LIGHT -
Be sure to see the New Products section for more details on this new LED interior light. These are currently in stock. Already several companies that buy products from us have bought them for their market as well. It’s not often one part will fit various other applications too. I have no doubt this also fits older GM cars.
It seems every week even I learn something new concerning our Turbo Regals. In this case, it’s the fact the same LED light panel fits all four of the interior lights that were used in the 1984-1988 G-Body cars. It may also fit the older G-Body cars too. I am researching this further as it may also fit the F-Body cars and possibly the early A-Body cars.
We have the under dash interior lights figured out as well. We are waiting on certain LEDs before we promote that as our next LED product. Once it’s available, you would have all the interior lighting in the LED format, including the analog dash cluster we had made several years ago.
PHOTO 2 - The top left photo shows the two rear pillar lamps that came in the T-Top Regals. The top right photo shows the Oldsmobile Cutlass standard interior light. If you own a T-Top Turbo Regal, you are well aware that very little light comes out of those small circular rear pillar lights. Install a set of these LED panels and the difference is amazing. Also, by going with the LED panel, you no longer have to worry about the extreme heat that the standard glass tube bulb generates. Most of the interior lights I find in junkyards, the housing is burnt up due to heat generated from the interior light being left on for long periods of time.
The lower left photo shows the standard dome light that this LED panel fits. This would be the housing that many of you have in your Turbo Regals. The lower right photo shows the optional Map Reading light that was an option. The same LED panel fits the main center light in the Map Light Housing. In case you’re curious, Buick called it “Map Light Front-seat Reading Lamps.” The trunk ID code is C95. The price for the Front-seat Reading Lamps remained $24 from 1984 through 1987 on the Regal models. Most owners simply call this option “map reading lights.”
1986 and 1987 BUICK ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS BOOKLET -
In my office desk at home I discovered two Buick booklets that I did not realize I had. They are both 4" x 8" and run 11 pages in length. The 1986 booklet is entitled, “Engine Straight Talk.” The 1987 booklet is entitled, “1987 Engine Talk from Buick.”
Here is a small bit of information many of you probably would not know. How many engines did Buick offer in 1986 and 1987?
This 1986 booklet says in 1986 Buick offered 11 different engines.
This 1987 booklet says the number dropped to 10 different engines in 1987.
Like many of you, the only engine we have come to know and enjoy is the 3.8 Litre SFI Turbo V-6 with Intercooler (LC2), which is what the booklets call it. Both booklets are pocket size, probably designed to educate the Buick sales staff for those particular model years. That would be my guess. I can’t recall ever seeing any of these booklets for sale.

In both cases, this is the exact wording they used in the heading for both years.
These booklets are very similar to the Let’s Talk booklet that came in your glove box.
RADIO REPAIR SERVICE -
For many years we have been able to offer getting your factory AC Delco radio repaired, our #7049 - 1984-1987 Turbo Regal - AC DELCO AM/FM Radio Cassette Repair. Our service actually goes back to the early 1980s when we started our GTO business. We used to get GTO radios repaired as well.
I have been dealing with this AC Delco repair shop since I was just out of high school! They also recalibrate the speedometers for us.
Recently they have informed me they are now out of the parts they use to repair the radios for the G-Body cars.
By coincidence, I recently sold 6 Ford radios to another radio shop and they have the parts to repair the AC Delco GM radios in our cars. The Warranty however, is now 90 days. This new source is not local to us, meaning I have to send the radio UPS to them. So, keep this in mind, repair turn-around will take longer… You have to send it to us, we have to send it to the repair shop, then it will be repaired, then sent back to us, and then sent back to you. The good news is we do not have to raise the price.

BRUTAL WEATHER -
I figured I would not complain about not being able to see green grass for over two months, since any of our customers in the Boston area probably haven’t even spotted their cars in the last 3-4 weeks!
It would not be a good time to be a new hire at any car dealer in the Boston area unless cleaning snow off cars was a job you enjoy!
In our area, I believe the normal temperature for February was only reached 5 times in the entire month! Two of our cats that reside in our pole building don’t even venture out during the day for the last month! As I write this week’s Inner Circle once again it is snowing.
ATLANTIC CITY CLASSIC CAR SHOW AND AUCTION -
The Atlantic City Classic Car Show and Auction was held this past weekend in Atlantic City, NJ. A good friend of ours, Greg Davidian, went and reported he did look at one 1987 Grand National with 2,700 original miles. It was a very low-optioned Grand National with T-Tops. The trunk ID label was signed by Molly at my 2007 birthday bash, so that means the car was at our event. The asking price on the Grand National was $55,000. This Grand National was not in the auction part of the event.

AFTERMARKET LED INTERIOR LIGHT PANEL
This aftermarket LED interior light panel is made up of 9 LEDs and can replace the fuse-style glass tube bulb found in the interior lights in all the 1984-1988 GM G-Body cars, hardtop and T-Tops models.
This panel consists of 9 LEDs on a panel. It will fit virtually every version of the GM G-Body interior light housings. The ends are specific to properly contact the factory contacts in the light housing.
We show the four versions of the G-Body interior lights that this LED panel will fit - the 2 pillar lights for cars with T-Tops, Oldsmobile Cutlass interior light, the standard dome light, and the optional map reading light.
The LED panel is easy to install.
The benefits of this LED light panel are that it’s a brighter light and has wider spread of light over the glass tube format.
The LED panel draws far less amperage and does not generate the extreme heat like the original glass tube bulb.
These LED lights will greatly increase the amount of light over the stock glass tube light on cars with T-Tops. Our first photo shows an original glass bulb on the left and this LED replacement on the right.
Our second photo shows the 4 versions on interior lights, which can use this LED panel as a direct replacement.

POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE
Because of the age of these cars, it’s probably a good idea to replace the original power steering return hose.
This hose is specific for power steering fluid. Hose is approximately 18" long, about 1" longer than you need.

THIRD BRAKE LIGHT LED PANEL
Many cars produced today have the LED format for their various lights.
LED lighting offers several benefits. Besides projecting a brighter and wider light, LEDs draw a lot less amperage and hardly generates any heat compared to the glass-style bulbs.
The stock bulb in the third brake light is a #1156 bulb. If that bulb were to stay on for two minutes, it would reach over 200 degrees. This can burn the socket housing and, in severe cases, distort the top of the brake light housing. In contrast, the LED panel would only reach 130 degrees after TWO HOURS.
We now offer a LED panel for the original third brake light used in all the 1986-1988 G-Body cars. Each panel is custom built and assembled in the U.S.A. and has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
This custom-made panel contains three rows of fifteen each for a total of 45 of the SuperFlux LEDs. The SuperFlux LEDs are a brighter LED over some of the other available LEDs. Each panel is coated on the back to seal and protect the circuits from any moisture or unintended shorts by tools or careless installation. Each panel is then tested before delivery. Each LED panel has integrated voltage regulating circuitry built into the base of the socket for space saving. This limits the amount of voltage going to the LED panel. This helps insure that the LED panel will last anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 hours.
The LED panel is powered up through the factory socket. No wires get cut and no modifications are needed to the third brake light housing in your car.
LED Panel comes with easy-to-follow directions.
An excellent upgrade to improve the lighting in the third brake light.

Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.

We will conduct a demonstration of the Multi-Function Jump Starter kit. I will bring to the event the dead battery that has been in the Regal at our house since 2010. I will install it in our 1987 Turbo-T at our event and you will be able to see for yourself a simple battery pack weighing less than 9 ounces will crank our Turbo Regal. Seeing is believing! No smoking mirrors, no magic words said over it, and no hidden back up battery in the trunk.

Both booklets are pocket size, probably designed to educate the Buick sales staff for those particular model years. That would be my guess. I can’t recall ever seeing any of these booklets for sale.

RADIO REPAIR SERVICE -
For many years we have been able to offer getting your factory AC Delco radio repaired, our #7049 - 1984-1987 Turbo Regal - AC DELCO AM/FM Radio Cassette Repair. Our service actually goes back to the early 1980s when we started our GTO business. We used to get GTO radios repaired as well.
I have been dealing with this AC Delco repair shop since I was just out of high school! They also recalibrate the speedometers for us.
Recently they have informed me they are now out of the parts they use to repair the radios for the G-Body cars.
By coincidence, I recently sold 6 Ford radios to another radio shop and they have the parts to repair the AC Delco GM radios in our cars. The Warranty however, is now 90 days. This new source is not local to us, meaning I have to send the radio UPS to them. So, keep this in mind, repair turn-around will take longer… You have to send it to us, we have to send it to the repair shop, then it will be repaired, then sent back to us, and then sent back to you. The good news is we do not have to raise the price.

BRUTAL WEATHER -
I figured I would not complain about not being able to see green grass for over two months, since any of our customers in the Boston area probably haven’t even spotted their cars in the last 3-4 weeks!
It would not be a good time to be a new hire at any car dealer in the Boston area unless cleaning snow off cars was a job you enjoy!
In our area, I believe the normal temperature for February was only reached 5 times in the entire month! Two of our cats that reside in our pole building don’t even venture out during the day for the last month! As I write this week’s Inner Circle once again it is snowing.
ATLANTIC CITY CLASSIC CAR SHOW AND AUCTION -
The Atlantic City Classic Car Show and Auction was held this past weekend in Atlantic City, NJ. A good friend of ours, Greg Davidian, went and reported he did look at one 1987 Grand National with 2,700 original miles. It was a very low-optioned Grand National with T-Tops. The trunk ID label was signed by Molly at my 2007 birthday bash, so that means the car was at our event. The asking price on the Grand National was $55,000. This Grand National was not in the auction part of the event.

AFTERMARKET LED INTERIOR LIGHT PANEL
This aftermarket LED interior light panel is made up of 9 LEDs and can replace the fuse-style glass tube bulb found in the interior lights in all the 1984-1988 GM G-Body cars, hardtop and T-Tops models.
This panel consists of 9 LEDs on a panel. It will fit virtually every version of the GM G-Body interior light housings. The ends are specific to properly contact the factory contacts in the light housing.
We show the four versions of the G-Body interior lights that this LED panel will fit - the 2 pillar lights for cars with T-Tops, Oldsmobile Cutlass interior light, the standard dome light, and the optional map reading light.
The LED panel is easy to install.
The benefits of this LED light panel are that it’s a brighter light and has wider spread of light over the glass tube format.
The LED panel draws far less amperage and does not generate the extreme heat like the original glass tube bulb.
These LED lights will greatly increase the amount of light over the stock glass tube light on cars with T-Tops. Our first photo shows an original glass bulb on the left and this LED replacement on the right.
Our second photo shows the 4 versions on interior lights, which can use this LED panel as a direct replacement.

This is a reproduction of the Regal under-the-rear-seat sound deadener.
It measures approximately 20" x 57" and made of jute and rubber.
In some cases, the rear seat sound deadener may be missing or in poor shape in your car. This piece helps decrease the noise level in the car.

POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE
Because of the age of these cars, it’s probably a good idea to replace the original power steering return hose.
This hose is specific for power steering fluid. Hose is approximately 18" long, about 1" longer than you need.

THIRD BRAKE LIGHT LED PANEL
Many cars produced today have the LED format for their various lights.
LED lighting offers several benefits. Besides projecting a brighter and wider light, LEDs draw a lot less amperage and hardly generates any heat compared to the glass-style bulbs.
The stock bulb in the third brake light is a #1156 bulb. If that bulb were to stay on for two minutes, it would reach over 200 degrees. This can burn the socket housing and, in severe cases, distort the top of the brake light housing. In contrast, the LED panel would only reach 130 degrees after TWO HOURS.
We now offer a LED panel for the original third brake light used in all the 1986-1988 G-Body cars. Each panel is custom built and assembled in the U.S.A. and has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
This custom-made panel contains three rows of fifteen each for a total of 45 of the SuperFlux LEDs. The SuperFlux LEDs are a brighter LED over some of the other available LEDs. Each panel is coated on the back to seal and protect the circuits from any moisture or unintended shorts by tools or careless installation. Each panel is then tested before delivery. Each LED panel has integrated voltage regulating circuitry built into the base of the socket for space saving. This limits the amount of voltage going to the LED panel. This helps insure that the LED panel will last anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 hours.
The LED panel is powered up through the factory socket. No wires get cut and no modifications are needed to the third brake light housing in your car.
LED Panel comes with easy-to-follow directions.
An excellent upgrade to improve the lighting in the third brake light.
