UPDATE ON DELIVERIES AND SHIPMENTS –
The supply chains are still lagging in timely deliveries. FED EX, UPS, and USPS have had vast increases in shipments, which has also caused delays in deliveries.

Normally we sent out the Inner Circle by email about 3 pm eastern time every Wednesday. Two weeks ago, the electric went out and we had to send it an hour earlier by phone. All future Inner Circles will be sent about 3 pm unless the is an unforeseen reason for an earlier or delayed release.

THE YUM YUMS DONUT CONNECTION –
Many readers know the long-time connection we have with the local chain of Yum Yums donuts. They have been in business just over 50 years. I know as we have been buying their donuts for over 40-plus years.
For me in started in the late 1970s when I was getting Hurst shifters rebuilt for our GTO customers. I quickly learned if I took half a dozen Yum Yums donuts to the repair division at Hurst, I would get them back within 1-2 hours. This allowed me to ship them back to customers the same day.
I would also go to their local location almost every morning for breakfast.
At some point at our old house we decided to add on expanding the basement, first floor, and second floor. We hired two German brothers who I knew did home improvements. They actually made various parts for us in their basement. They gave us a quote and a time frame.
I figured to make sure the time frame was adhered to, I made them a deal. Every morning I would bring them a dozen donuts. Each carton was numbered. I said when it hit number 50, the additional had to be done. We shook hands on the deal.
It was amazing to watch them work. Come 4 o’clock every day like clockwork their tools dropped where they were and they simply went home. It was just the two brothers and one assistant. It was comical to say the least.
The result was nothing short of amazing. The entire project was fully done in 50 days. They even installed a power sliding door in the basement so I could carry shipments in and out of the basement without having to turn a door knob.
Fast forward to the Turbo Regal days. When buyers came in to pick up their Turbo Regals, we always took them to Yum Yums donuts as they headed back home driving their just purchased Turbo Regal. This ritual can be seen in my 400 page book on page 19. Ian Reeves and his friend flew over from England and, like so many others, he wanted to go to Yum Yums.
At all our past Kirban Car Shows and Reunion events we have always had free Yum Yums donuts. They never lasted past the 11 am mark. Hands down, Yum Yums has the best donuts!
To this day, I have some deliveries dropped at their bakery to save me driving time. I was there the other day and noticed they had custom-made Yum Yums face masks available. Their logo is in full color on the front of the mask. They only had a few left, which I bought. I am not sure if they will be getting more made.
I talked to the owner Donna and she is going to look into getting more made. I told her I would buy a bunch of them. Yum Yums has been a long-time connection with our company and with many of you, if you ever attended any of our car Shows or Reunion events.

UNIQUE CARS FOR SALE –
In my recent travels, I came across two cars that may possibly interest someone you may know or someone seeking one of these cars.
Both cars are priced under ten grand. I charge a flat commission if you purchase either vehicle. Arrangements can be made to store the car at my house until you can arrange transport.
The first car is a 1990 35th Anniversary Super Coupe Thunderbird. It was owned by a woman since new. She has the original Window Sticker. It has been garaged most of its life. According to the Pennsylvania inspection stickers, the car has not been on the road since 2008. The mileage is around 72,000. The body is real nice and appears to be original with no rust. It has all the markings of the 35th Anniversary and even has the medallion in the steering wheel. It has an aftermarket radio in the dash. The driver’s seat has the typical wear issues from age and usage. The body is very straight and I see no evidence of rust.
I know very little about these cars. This one is a manual 5-speed, which is probably rarer than the automatics, from what I understand. The owner says it runs but does have ignition issues. In my opinion, it needs a full restoration. This car is located about 30 minutes from my house and would have to be towed due to the ignition issues. The owner wants $7,995. She may take a reasonable offer.

This is the small country car dealership where I hold a sales license. It’s a chance to get together with other car people and enjoy the atmosphere. I will be there the entire time. 2000 LINCOLN LS – FOR SALE –
This 2000 Lincoln LS in unbelievable condition with just under 100,000 miles. It has the latest Pennsylvania inspection. It’s the right color combo - silver exterior against a super, super mint black leather interior. According to the Car fax, all repair records were done on this car at the local dealership where it was purchased new. Some of the service records are a simply wash and detail. The car shows extremely great care and is “Kirban Quality” as it sits. The car appears to have always been garaged. The bright exterior work and headlights are very nice. Rides on fairly new Michelin tires. I see no evidence of any interior wear, even the driver’s seat is like new. The car has had zero accidents.

It is a small used car dealership that focuses on Corvettes. The price is $4,995. You would be hard pressed to find a better looking, well cared for documented car for this price.
1979 EL CAMINO – FOR SALE –
In my travels the other day I spotted a real nice redone 1979 El Camino. The current owner has had it for 20 years and basically had the body off the frame. It has a new crate motor. UPGRADED REPLACEMENT POWER ANTENNA MASTS –
As you read this we should have some upgraded steel cable power antenna masts in stock. This is the better way to replace the original power antenna mast if yours is broken. We are the supplier for this upgraded power antenna mast. Our source cuts off the original plastic cable and installs a steel cable. The stress on a plastic cable tightly wound up spells disaster in time.
One thing we do recommend is to lightly oil the telescopic mast. It doesn’t take much dirt or dust to disrupt the metal mast from going up and down freely. The part number for the upgrade power antenna mast #7433 and the price is $69.95. The booklet that goes in great detail on how to remove the power antenna unit from inside the passenger fender is #6976 and the price is $10.
MY BLACK HAT UPDATE –
I recently came across the same picture that I showed in Photo 4 last week that had a caption stating my Dad presented me the bronze hat as a Christmas gift in 1980. That means I have been wearing a Stetson Gun Club black hat for well over 40 years of my life.
COMING SOON - NEW MODIFIED JEEP LOWER STEERING SHAFTS –
I knew it would just be a matter of time when my main source that supplies us with the used refurbished Jeep lower steering shafts would deplete his inventory in all the salvage yards in his area. Currently we been trying to find a good source for getting a good price on brand new Jeep lower steering shafts so we can get them modified.
We recently sent our supplier a brand new Jeep lower steering shaft to modify. He did one and made sure it fits in the G-body cars. We still plan to offer refurbished modified used Jeep lower steering shafts, but expect to also have new ones available. The new ones would be more money. We have not yet worked out a price structure for the new Jeep shafts. Again, like the power antenna masts, I have to buy the new Jeep shafts then ship to this source to modify them, and then get them shipped back to me.
The advantage with the Jeep lower steering shaft is it has metal swivel joints at both ends. GM used a fiber-like rag joint at the gear box end in the G-body applications. In some of the other GM vehicles they did use metal swivel joints at both ends of the lower steering shaft, which eliminates the spongy feel in the steering. The spongy feel becomes more evident as each year passes. Besides, replacing that original rag joint can be a major job. Some of the steering play can be attributed to a worn steering gear also.
We also sell the upgraded bearing kit, which replaces the rubber seal that GM used in the G-body cars. This is the bearing that is at the base of your upper shaft. It makes sense to replace this bearing with the upgraded bearing at the same time since it requires you to remove the lower steering shaft to get to it. The part number for this 4-part steel bearing is #7572 and the price is $37.95. We always have these in stock as they are a tremendous seller.
These upgrades (like the steel cable for the antenna masts), are all made with the idea to make things better for your Pride and Joy.
It reminds me of the metal horn ring which will never break compared to the original plastic horn ring that warps and cracks. Also, the vacuum block and the metal ones that we and other vendors sell. All superior upgrades while retaining a fairly-stock appearance. I am sure there are more upgrades that I have not mentioned that simply improve on the original format.

NETFLIX –
I seldom watch any TV or cable except for the nightly news. Recently Carrie’s Mom turned me on to a series on Netflix called “Longmire” since she knows I like westerns. It is set in present day, and takes place out in Wyoming. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. You really get to know the characters and see them develop. The only well-known name actor in the series is Lou Diamond Phillips. I have now seen the entire series. I highly recommend it. It’s not graphic or gory and has very little profanity. Longmire plays a small-time sheriff in a town surrounded by two Indian Reservations.
AD - CAR FOR SALE - 1987 Buick Regal Limited Turbo T -
Located on Saint Simons Island, Georgia since new. I am third owner and have had the car since 2003. Good driver, not a show car.
The good:
2019 all new air conditioning throughout with Kirban compressor and R134. 2020 swap powermaster brakes to hydroboost. Better performance and hopefully reliability. Same owner since 2003, garage kept since 2005. No body rust, straight panels. Repaint 2007, still looks good. Interior redone 2008 original power bench seat velour interior, shows some age, still good. Several reliability and performance upgrades (fuel pump, 40 lb injectors, Turbo Tweak chip, shift kit), original parts like air filter housing still available. All numbers matching powertrain, engine rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago.
The bad:
Close to 100k miles. Original digital dash swapped for GNX style all VDO gauge dash layout by second owner, original not available. Tires are low miles, but old enough to require replacement for performance driving. Spare tire and jack AWOL. Seat belt latch drivers side front missing plastic trim.

We discovered that Fed Ex will not forward any packages that are sent to the PO Box or to our old address in Plumsteadville. Instead they deliver the packages to the old address and leave them outside. They refuse to forward and say that we should notify the shipper. In most cases, we have no idea when we are getting packages shipped back to us.
If you have any cores that are being sent back to us, be sure to use the correct address, especially if you use Fed Ex. Otherwise, we may not receive your package or it may be sent back to you.

STEERING WHEEL CORES. Currently we need good 1986-1987 Turbo Regal steering cores. They must be straight and not have rusted spokes. We l issue a letter of credit of $100 for each acceptable core.
POWERMASTER BRAKE UNITS. Currently, we are NOT accepting powermaster brake units. When we need cores, we give a $150 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core.
TURBO CORES must be the 1986-1987 Turbo Regal stock turbo. They must be complete. We will issue you a $150 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core. We urgently need these cores!
If you ship to us, the post office is the cheapest method. Pack the item(s) with a note with your name, address and phone number. This is the only item we are currently accepting as cores.

Good news - We now accept Classified Ads in our weekly Inner Circle emails. Over the years several customers have asked about placing an ad in our weekly Inner Circle.
Here are the options and the costs.
Ads can be from any individual or company. It needs to be automotive related, meaning it does not need be specifically Turbo Regal related. It can be for something for sale or something wanted.
Maximum number of words is 125 words, which is about 7 to 9 lines of copy. No photos. You can list a website. We recommend you state your name, phone number or email, a price, and your location in your ad.
The cost for 2 consecutive weeks is $25. The cost for 4 consecutive weeks is $40. You save $10 with the 4-week plan. No changes can be made to your existing running ad. You can only run one ad at any given time. We will have a code system at the end of your ad, so we will know what week number your ad is to run - 2 or 4 weeks.
It can be an ad for something for sale or an ad for something you are looking for.
We have never missed a single week since we started the Inner Circle email format in 2009. It’s something I enjoy doing and I just always seem to have enough material to write about.
Our weekly Inner Circle reaches over 3,400 members every Wednesday direct to their inbox. The Inner Circle also appears every Wednesday on our website with the related photos. Your ad would be visible to both groups of readers. So, the exposure to your ad is well over 3,200 potential buyers.

SEMI-BLACK EXTERIOR TRIM SPRAY PAINT
This spray paint is semi-black and is an excellent color match for the black-out trim moldings that was used on certain Turbo Regal models.
It is made by the same company that color matches the grey, dark blue, burgundy paint we also sell from this same source.
It dries within minutes. While many variations of semi-black exist we found this to be a very close match. Remember, no paint color is going to match trim that has been exposed for over 30 years of sun and weather.
This is ideal to do the taillight trim parts and the plastic headlight bezels.

REPRODUCTION BRAKE SWITCH RECALL DECAL (1) SET
We are offering these two decals as a set.
The reproduction Air Cleaner Decal measures 1-5/16″ x 1-1/4″ and is white with black lettering, which is the identical size and color as the original.
It goes on the side of the top portion of the metal factory air cleaner box. There is no precise location but generally can be found on the side towards the driver’s fender.
The reproduction Brake Switch Recall Decal measures 2″ x 1″ and is white with black lettering, which is the identical size and color as the original.
There was no exact placement for where the Service Department would put the Recall decal showing it was completed. Generally, it was put on the core support near the Belt Routing decal. A date was written in along with the other related information, which showed the recall was completed. The recall related to the powermaster brake switch was not issued until the fall of 1990.

THE YUM YUMS DONUT CONNECTION –
Many readers know the long-time connection we have with the local chain of Yum Yums donuts. They have been in business just over 50 years. I know as we have been buying their donuts for over 40-plus years.
For me in started in the late 1970s when I was getting Hurst shifters rebuilt for our GTO customers. I quickly learned if I took half a dozen Yum Yums donuts to the repair division at Hurst, I would get them back within 1-2 hours. This allowed me to ship them back to customers the same day.
I would also go to their local location almost every morning for breakfast.
At some point at our old house we decided to add on expanding the basement, first floor, and second floor. We hired two German brothers who I knew did home improvements. They actually made various parts for us in their basement. They gave us a quote and a time frame.
I figured to make sure the time frame was adhered to, I made them a deal. Every morning I would bring them a dozen donuts. Each carton was numbered. I said when it hit number 50, the additional had to be done. We shook hands on the deal.
It was amazing to watch them work. Come 4 o’clock every day like clockwork their tools dropped where they were and they simply went home. It was just the two brothers and one assistant. It was comical to say the least.
The result was nothing short of amazing. The entire project was fully done in 50 days. They even installed a power sliding door in the basement so I could carry shipments in and out of the basement without having to turn a door knob.
Fast forward to the Turbo Regal days. When buyers came in to pick up their Turbo Regals, we always took them to Yum Yums donuts as they headed back home driving their just purchased Turbo Regal. This ritual can be seen in my 400 page book on page 19. Ian Reeves and his friend flew over from England and, like so many others, he wanted to go to Yum Yums.
At all our past Kirban Car Shows and Reunion events we have always had free Yum Yums donuts. They never lasted past the 11 am mark. Hands down, Yum Yums has the best donuts!
To this day, I have some deliveries dropped at their bakery to save me driving time. I was there the other day and noticed they had custom-made Yum Yums face masks available. Their logo is in full color on the front of the mask. They only had a few left, which I bought. I am not sure if they will be getting more made.
I talked to the owner Donna and she is going to look into getting more made. I told her I would buy a bunch of them. Yum Yums has been a long-time connection with our company and with many of you, if you ever attended any of our car Shows or Reunion events.

UNIQUE CARS FOR SALE –
In my recent travels, I came across two cars that may possibly interest someone you may know or someone seeking one of these cars.
Both cars are priced under ten grand. I charge a flat commission if you purchase either vehicle. Arrangements can be made to store the car at my house until you can arrange transport.
The first car is a 1990 35th Anniversary Super Coupe Thunderbird. It was owned by a woman since new. She has the original Window Sticker. It has been garaged most of its life. According to the Pennsylvania inspection stickers, the car has not been on the road since 2008. The mileage is around 72,000. The body is real nice and appears to be original with no rust. It has all the markings of the 35th Anniversary and even has the medallion in the steering wheel. It has an aftermarket radio in the dash. The driver’s seat has the typical wear issues from age and usage. The body is very straight and I see no evidence of rust.
I know very little about these cars. This one is a manual 5-speed, which is probably rarer than the automatics, from what I understand. The owner says it runs but does have ignition issues. In my opinion, it needs a full restoration. This car is located about 30 minutes from my house and would have to be towed due to the ignition issues. The owner wants $7,995. She may take a reasonable offer.

2000 LINCOLN LS – FOR SALE –
This 2000 Lincoln LS in unbelievable condition with just under 100,000 miles. It has the latest Pennsylvania inspection. It’s the right color combo - silver exterior against a super, super mint black leather interior. According to the Car fax, all repair records were done on this car at the local dealership where it was purchased new. Some of the service records are a simply wash and detail. The car shows extremely great care and is “Kirban Quality” as it sits. The car appears to have always been garaged. The bright exterior work and headlights are very nice. Rides on fairly new Michelin tires. I see no evidence of any interior wear, even the driver’s seat is like new. The car has had zero accidents.

1979 EL CAMINO – FOR SALE –
In my travels the other day I spotted a real nice redone 1979 El Camino. The current owner has had it for 20 years and basically had the body off the frame. It has a new crate motor. UPGRADED REPLACEMENT POWER ANTENNA MASTS –
As you read this we should have some upgraded steel cable power antenna masts in stock. This is the better way to replace the original power antenna mast if yours is broken. We are the supplier for this upgraded power antenna mast. Our source cuts off the original plastic cable and installs a steel cable. The stress on a plastic cable tightly wound up spells disaster in time.
One thing we do recommend is to lightly oil the telescopic mast. It doesn’t take much dirt or dust to disrupt the metal mast from going up and down freely. The part number for the upgrade power antenna mast #7433 and the price is $69.95. The booklet that goes in great detail on how to remove the power antenna unit from inside the passenger fender is #6976 and the price is $10.
MY BLACK HAT UPDATE –
I recently came across the same picture that I showed in Photo 4 last week that had a caption stating my Dad presented me the bronze hat as a Christmas gift in 1980. That means I have been wearing a Stetson Gun Club black hat for well over 40 years of my life.
COMING SOON - NEW MODIFIED JEEP LOWER STEERING SHAFTS –
I knew it would just be a matter of time when my main source that supplies us with the used refurbished Jeep lower steering shafts would deplete his inventory in all the salvage yards in his area. Currently we been trying to find a good source for getting a good price on brand new Jeep lower steering shafts so we can get them modified.
We recently sent our supplier a brand new Jeep lower steering shaft to modify. He did one and made sure it fits in the G-body cars. We still plan to offer refurbished modified used Jeep lower steering shafts, but expect to also have new ones available. The new ones would be more money. We have not yet worked out a price structure for the new Jeep shafts. Again, like the power antenna masts, I have to buy the new Jeep shafts then ship to this source to modify them, and then get them shipped back to me.
The advantage with the Jeep lower steering shaft is it has metal swivel joints at both ends. GM used a fiber-like rag joint at the gear box end in the G-body applications. In some of the other GM vehicles they did use metal swivel joints at both ends of the lower steering shaft, which eliminates the spongy feel in the steering. The spongy feel becomes more evident as each year passes. Besides, replacing that original rag joint can be a major job. Some of the steering play can be attributed to a worn steering gear also.
We also sell the upgraded bearing kit, which replaces the rubber seal that GM used in the G-body cars. This is the bearing that is at the base of your upper shaft. It makes sense to replace this bearing with the upgraded bearing at the same time since it requires you to remove the lower steering shaft to get to it. The part number for this 4-part steel bearing is #7572 and the price is $37.95. We always have these in stock as they are a tremendous seller.
These upgrades (like the steel cable for the antenna masts), are all made with the idea to make things better for your Pride and Joy.
It reminds me of the metal horn ring which will never break compared to the original plastic horn ring that warps and cracks. Also, the vacuum block and the metal ones that we and other vendors sell. All superior upgrades while retaining a fairly-stock appearance. I am sure there are more upgrades that I have not mentioned that simply improve on the original format.

NETFLIX –
I seldom watch any TV or cable except for the nightly news. Recently Carrie’s Mom turned me on to a series on Netflix called “Longmire” since she knows I like westerns. It is set in present day, and takes place out in Wyoming. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. You really get to know the characters and see them develop. The only well-known name actor in the series is Lou Diamond Phillips. I have now seen the entire series. I highly recommend it. It’s not graphic or gory and has very little profanity. Longmire plays a small-time sheriff in a town surrounded by two Indian Reservations.

Located on Saint Simons Island, Georgia since new. I am third owner and have had the car since 2003. Good driver, not a show car.
The good:
2019 all new air conditioning throughout with Kirban compressor and R134. 2020 swap powermaster brakes to hydroboost. Better performance and hopefully reliability. Same owner since 2003, garage kept since 2005. No body rust, straight panels. Repaint 2007, still looks good. Interior redone 2008 original power bench seat velour interior, shows some age, still good. Several reliability and performance upgrades (fuel pump, 40 lb injectors, Turbo Tweak chip, shift kit), original parts like air filter housing still available. All numbers matching powertrain, engine rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago.
The bad:
Close to 100k miles. Original digital dash swapped for GNX style all VDO gauge dash layout by second owner, original not available. Tires are low miles, but old enough to require replacement for performance driving. Spare tire and jack AWOL. Seat belt latch drivers side front missing plastic trim.

Instead they deliver the packages to the old address and leave them outside. They refuse to forward and say that we should notify the shipper. In most cases, we have no idea when we are getting packages shipped back to us.
If you have any cores that are being sent back to us, be sure to use the correct address, especially if you use Fed Ex. Otherwise, we may not receive your package or it may be sent back to you.

STEERING WHEEL CORES. Currently we need good 1986-1987 Turbo Regal steering cores. They must be straight and not have rusted spokes. We l issue a letter of credit of $100 for each acceptable core.
POWERMASTER BRAKE UNITS. Currently, we are NOT accepting powermaster brake units. When we need cores, we give a $150 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core.
TURBO CORES must be the 1986-1987 Turbo Regal stock turbo. They must be complete. We will issue you a $150 Letter of Credit for each acceptable core. We urgently need these cores!
If you ship to us, the post office is the cheapest method. Pack the item(s) with a note with your name, address and phone number. This is the only item we are currently accepting as cores.

Good news - We now accept Classified Ads in our weekly Inner Circle emails. Over the years several customers have asked about placing an ad in our weekly Inner Circle.
Here are the options and the costs.
Ads can be from any individual or company. It needs to be automotive related, meaning it does not need be specifically Turbo Regal related. It can be for something for sale or something wanted.
Maximum number of words is 125 words, which is about 7 to 9 lines of copy. No photos. You can list a website. We recommend you state your name, phone number or email, a price, and your location in your ad.
The cost for 2 consecutive weeks is $25. The cost for 4 consecutive weeks is $40. You save $10 with the 4-week plan. No changes can be made to your existing running ad. You can only run one ad at any given time. We will have a code system at the end of your ad, so we will know what week number your ad is to run - 2 or 4 weeks.
It can be an ad for something for sale or an ad for something you are looking for.
We have never missed a single week since we started the Inner Circle email format in 2009. It’s something I enjoy doing and I just always seem to have enough material to write about.
Our weekly Inner Circle reaches over 3,400 members every Wednesday direct to their inbox. The Inner Circle also appears every Wednesday on our website with the related photos. Your ad would be visible to both groups of readers. So, the exposure to your ad is well over 3,200 potential buyers.

SEMI-BLACK EXTERIOR TRIM SPRAY PAINT
This spray paint is semi-black and is an excellent color match for the black-out trim moldings that was used on certain Turbo Regal models.
It is made by the same company that color matches the grey, dark blue, burgundy paint we also sell from this same source.
It dries within minutes. While many variations of semi-black exist we found this to be a very close match. Remember, no paint color is going to match trim that has been exposed for over 30 years of sun and weather.
This is ideal to do the taillight trim parts and the plastic headlight bezels.

REPRODUCTION AIR CLEANER DECAL (1) &
REPRODUCTION BRAKE SWITCH RECALL DECAL (1) SET
We are offering these two decals as a set.
The reproduction Air Cleaner Decal measures 1-5/16″ x 1-1/4″ and is white with black lettering, which is the identical size and color as the original.
It goes on the side of the top portion of the metal factory air cleaner box. There is no precise location but generally can be found on the side towards the driver’s fender.
The reproduction Brake Switch Recall Decal measures 2″ x 1″ and is white with black lettering, which is the identical size and color as the original.
There was no exact placement for where the Service Department would put the Recall decal showing it was completed. Generally, it was put on the core support near the Belt Routing decal. A date was written in along with the other related information, which showed the recall was completed. The recall related to the powermaster brake switch was not issued until the fall of 1990.

Reproduction GRAND NATIONAL FENDER & TRUNK EMBLEMS
We are now offering high-quality reproduction Grand National emblems for the front fenders and trunk lid. All 1986-1987 GNs used three emblems; one on each fender and one on the driver’s side trunk lid. The 1984-1985 GNs only used two emblems; one on each fender.
This striking silver, red, orange and black enamel-like finish emblem measures 5-3/8" x 1-7/8" and comes with a self-adhesive backing.
NOTE - If you need to replace an emblem on your car, it’s best to replace all three at the same time so they all look new.

We have heard from a couple people that have viewed the photos on the website. Because these must be low-resolution photos to work on the Inner Circle segments on the website, any photos of text don't appear clear when enlarged. This is a problem when you are trying to see numbers, such as those on the VIN labels or pages from Options booklet. Also, because of photo reproduction and computer screen variations, the colors may not be true to the actual product or photo.
